Q: What does it mean “WiFi only”

I means it doesn't have cel connectivity. I use mine as a monitor for flying my drone. In order to have the maps show for navigation in the field I simply use my phone as a wifi hotspot and connect that way.

Q: Will this work in The air with the foreflight app?

Depends on what you mean by "in the air." It is on the approved list on Foreflight, so yes it will work. You will need and Ads-b for it to update traffic and weather in the air. Since it is only wifi, it will not show you position unless you have the Ads-b receiver.

Q: Can i get the apple care coverage for this renewed ipad mini 5?

Devices older than 60 days are not eligible for Apple Care.

Q: I need it for drone flight. does anyone use it for drone ? how is the experience ? do i must have cellular for drone ?

It would work great! I use my dad's old iPhone 7. You do not need cell service at least with my Mavic Mini 1.
