A true work of art
One day I was searching for picture books that told a story about sea life - specifically whales because that is what my son wanted. There weren’t a lot of options, but this book came up, and it is one of our favorites. This book is not cheap, but wow is it worth it. We have had this book in our collection for a couple years now, and it gets read a lot. In fact, the first couple months, it was read every other day (we have hundreds of children’s picture books). Each 2 page spread is a beautiful piece of art. The colors are so vivid and bright. It is simply gorgeous. We really like to look at the images while reading to really admire the art. The binding is solidly stitched, and has held up to many readings. It is a great size to to make the images really visible and fun to look at too. There are no negatives to getting this book. The story is great, and the art is amazing. If you like picture books about the sea (and even if you don’t) this is worth it. Awesome.

Beautiful colors
The pictures in this book are so beautiful and full of color. I think that is what really captured my attention. The story is nice as well. Not one of my son's favorites, but a nice one to have.

I purchased a copy of this book for both of my sons, who are new fathers of sons. The title caught my attention because both new fathers wish to be called Papa. The story is simple and endearing.
