I finished reading The Office Rockstar Playbook by Debbie Gross and it was amazing! It was one of those books that I couldn't put down. Thank you for writing this and sharing your journey with the world. You provided me inspiration at a time when I needed it the most.At the end of her book, there is contact information and an invite for a call with her. I don't normally reach out to people after reading their book but I figured what the heck. We did a Zoom call and it was time well spent! Debbie Inspires ** Inspires ** Inspires!
Early on, Debbie had the motivation and intuition to build a strong career where she was able to inspire others for years on end. She was destined to be an Office Rockstar at one of the largest global high tech companies in Silicon Valley. She shares endearing stories early on in her career, and continues through the book which keep you reading on and on. Have sticky notes available to mark the many "plays" that you will want to review again. This book is not only a must read for those in the administrative/office manager professions, but for those getting out into the workforce or for those who need a professional reset. It was no small task to work side-by-side with a high tech CEO for 28 years; Debbie pulled from her experience and created a most effective Playbook! Executives, you need to read this too for your own success!

An critical book to read and refer to often in your executive assistant tool-box !
Debbie's "Make The Play" summary at the end of each chapter was helpful in reinforcing the stories and anecdotes she shares. The golden nuggets of what worked well in her business partnership with John Chambers are truly valuable in helping me advance in my career and create an effective partnership with my own executive. I'll re-read this book over and over, using it as a valuable resource tool at my desk. She has saved me from experiencing some of the mistakes she has made (and I've had some of my own), and provided me with tools to excel as a business partner. Thank you for writing this and sharing your journey. You've provided me with renewed vitality and determination.

Perfect to relight your fire
I was on maturity leave for 20 weeks and this book helped me prepare to return to the office. What I appreciate is the fact that Debbie shared her mistakes in order for her readers to avoid them and impress their Executive. You get to see Debbie's journey from the beginning to the end, and it is a beautiful story. The book reveals techniques that I would never have thought of nor has someone ever shared with me. The playbook is like a book of hidden secrets to help you reach your goal and become an exceptional Administrative Professional. I will definitely keep this book with me and reread from time to time as a refresher.

This book is amazing!!! Loved it!! Could not put it down!!
Now first I have to tell you that I AM NOT A READER ... well, if I like the subject matter, then I guess I am but mostly - NOT. But this book was written well, very interesting and moved along well. I used up my yellow highlighter making notes as I read. I personally would love to meet Debbie. I am sure her enthusiasm is infectious. Those kinds of people are great to work with (as long as they are not too overbearing) but I suppose Debbie is a genuine and caring person. Thank you, Debbie, for writing this book, and making us admins feel important and necessary!

Common Sense stuff
I really thought reading this book might give me some new insights into being an Executive Assistant, but this delightful lady has had a career much like my own, and nothing she wrote was eye-opening to me at all.

Learn from her mistakes and experience, you will not regret it.
A must read for person aspiring to become a secretary or administrative assistant. Her history shows the depth of her experience. She has brought the job title of secretary (in use when she started at Cisco) and helped establish and create the job title of Executive Assistant, a task where a person exists between an executive a his job and his private life and manages all of his tasks, travel and appointments. After her retirement, she has dedicated herself to teaching what she has learned and sharing her knowledge. A very impressive woman!
