This is my first review in 13 years with Amazon. I am amazed how much quality and features that can be had for such a low price. The A40 is very intuitive to use and once set up works automatically. It will start up when your vehicle starts and record both front and rear continuously. I bought it to use as a backup camera as well. The rear LED is plenty bright enough. The only thing I would like is to be able to purchase an extension cable for the rear camera. It is plenty long enough for 99% of vehicles. Mine is 21ft long so is close. Another nice feature is to be able to direct connect to my laptop and either download the recordings or even use the camera as a usb cam from the laptop (I used my own mini USB cable for that)

Got this camera on time, packaged really well. However, rear camera did not work. Got in touch with customer service and was responded to right away. Customer service was very accommodating and when their tips didn't work, they sent a replacement right away. Camera resolution was superb, set up was easy as well. Highly recommended!

It was great for the price. However, I never reviewed the footage so I don't know the quality of the recording. Sometimes, I would forget where certain settings were on it. Also, the way the tecnician installed it caused the a break in the cord where the wires were exposed. I no longer have it. Sold it with my old car. I need to get another one the way people drive a camera is really a must have item. But, I don't want to pay to have it wired and installed properly for the back camera. I forgot how much I spent to wire it. I am thinking $175 or something. So, I just haven't done it.

After combing through the many options for dash cams, I finally decided on this one. My decision was based on features, ease of use, quick and easy set up and the quality of the product. This unit was very easy to install and set up. One feature that I really like is that it shows you the rear camera on the device when you are in reverse. This is very handy especially since my vehicle was not equipped with a rear camera from the dealership. The unit is sleek and is of a high quality. I am really happy that I purchased this unit and will be getting another one for my sister for her Birthday.

I gave it one star for the simple reason none of the buttons on the side of the camera work. Well, except the power button. I can't get to menus to set anything. I can't change the mode. I have no idea if it's set properly. I don't know if it's recording. I can't get to playback to find out. I tried the reset thingy that came with the camera several times, as per the manual, and it does nothing. One should expect issues with this camera when the instructions state "When the camera crashes...." not IF the camera crashes. Yup, expect it. There are pictures on the screen, both front and rear camera, but not what I want. As I stated, I can't change it.It's known that translating Chinese to English for instructions doesn't always work out perfectly. But everywhere in the manual it states "hold the ..... button for seconds". Well, how many? Am I holding them long enough or not. We're only talking about a number here.The suction cup seems to be strong. The threaded part of the camera attachment is metal but the rest is very cheap plastic. The threads are not at all tight between camera and hanger and the locking wheel is plastic and feels like it will break if tightened enough to hold the camera in place. I can certainly make the hanger better but I can't fix the non-functioning buttons. I didn't buy it for the suction cup.If I'm doing something wrong someone let me know. I'm always willing to admit my mistake. Otherwise this is going back. I wasn't expecting much for what it cost but I was expecting it to work. It's useless if the control buttons don't function.*Update* I decided to give it one more shot. I brought the camera inside and plugged in the charger to be sure the battery was fully charged. When it was I unplugged it and tried the buttons several times they didn't work. I got an idea. I plugged in the camera, held the reset button in, unplugged the camera and released the reset button. IT WORKED! Once. I set up the camera, turned it off then on. The buttons didn't work. I tried several more times and they didn't work. I re-tried my method above but the buttons would not work.I sent it back.

It seems to me after playing around with the settings that you can’t record no more than 5 mins. It keeps looping at 5 mins and you can’t turn it off. I tried resetting the camera but it’s still stuck on 5mins looping. I will return it and buy a more expensive one if the issue is not solved.

It's important to know that the product received met all the specification outlined in the ad. - night vision, parking monitor, motion detection, front and rear vision, to name a few. Installation is a quick and easy function as the user manual provides precise instructions. It offers very good suction power but its more prestigious when connected to an Amor Tek Dash Cam Mirror Mount. I am totally satisfied with my Autosoct Dash Cam knowing that I have added security for self and others when using the road. This camera also provides surveillance for your vehicle when it is not in motion. It is a product worth buying.

I have had more then my share of dash cam's .It got to the point to where I was about to give up . then one day looking on my computer I found Autosoct dash cam front n rear view camera's. I read the reviews and was at first because of the price I was on the fence still . Well I got off the fence an took a chance an I'm glad I did because I love it an when I had a issue with my plug the customer service department jumped right on it to help and replaced it with no problems .I would advise every and anyone that reads this to give Autosoct dash cam's a chance you won't be sorry.
