Great Beginner Gimbal
Admittedly, there is an initial learning curve trying to figure out how to balance the camera especially when you swap on different lens. However, after attending a few conventions and having to mount/unmount the camera, it has become much easier to do. It will likely take you 20-40 minutes the first few times you use the gimbal to find the sweet spot, but after enough use, I have cut this down to under 5 minutes. The components are great; the only gripe I have is with the screw that connects the plate to the camera. I wish they would have used a screw with an handle because I don't always have a coin or similarly sized thing on hand to tighten this screw. If it had included a handle screw, I could probably cut off another 30-60 seconds from my setup/tear down times. As for the actual use of the gimbal, this also takes some time getting used to. I think people think it will fix all of their videos without much thought, but you do have to mindful of the capability of the gimbal. You still need to move slow to keep the image stable and will take some practice to get a good feel for it down.It takes time to get used to the gimbal, but I promise you, if you invest the time to properly learn how to use it, it can improve the quality of your walking/movement style videos. I have looked at most expensive gimbals with stronger motors, but for me, this is a good compromise for the number of times I use it a year.

Tiny Giant - The most compact dslr/mirrorless camera gimbal
The Zhiyun Weebill-S had me really excited when the specs were first released. After owning the gimbal for several months, testing it, and using it live in production with clients, it has certainly lived up to my expectations. It has got to be the most compact gimbal I have ever used and it has some features that even very expensive gimbals don't have. It sort of raised the bar for me in terms of some of the features I will expect from gimbals from now on.It isn't the most powerful gimbal I have ever used, but if you are using a DSLR or a Mirrorless camera... you don't get any bonus points for having a gimbal rated for way more weight than you are actually using. In fact, that can damage the gimbal... So if you are in this boat... the Weebill-S is a great choice. There is a lot of connectivity with cameras so that you can control certain camera functions directly from the gimbal. I am a Sony shooter, and they don't normally play well with 3rd party hardware... so I didn't get to enjoy most of that. The only real gripe I have about the gimbal is, because of its size, a lot of the function buttons are located right where my hand wants to be when I am holding the thing... So at first, I was bumping a lot of the buttons. You can lock the buttons, but it is still an annoyance for me.So who is the Weebill-S for? Whos going to get the most out of this piece of kit?Well… given the price and feature, I recommend the Weebill-S for first-time gimbal owners shooting with mirrorless or small DSLR cameras. It’s a bit of a “no-brainer.” The technology has gotten to a point where anyone can watch a youtube video or two and be perfectly capable of getting great shots.Next, given the size and portability, I recommend the Weebill-S for people that do a lot of traveling. I’ve tried traveling with the Ronin-S, and that is not an easy thing. The Weebill-S packs small and travels easy. This is going to help jet setting professionals and hobbyists alike get awesome footage wherever they go.Who is the Weebill-S NOT for?Someone who already owns a relatively modern gimbal will not get enough out of this new piece of kit. Frankly, if you are not doing a lot of traveling, it’s just not worth the expense. I already own a DJI Ronin-S - If I didn’t ever had to travel for work, this new gimbal wouldn’t really be doing anything for me. It’s an excellent gimbal… but It would be retail therapy for me if I'm being honest.

By far the best gimbal I've owned
The media could not be loaded. I've had a few gimbals over the past couple of years, and the Weebill S is better than all of them in every way.MY FAVORITE PROS- Compact and Portable: It's way smaller than my Zhiyun Crane 2, and even shorter than my Zhiyun Smooth 4, which is a smartphone gimbal- Being able to lock each axis individually is amazing. It makes balancing the camera so much easier, and travel way less frustrating- The motors are so much more powerful than anything else. I can stick a 5D Mark IV + Canon 24-70 f/2.8 on here with no problem (besides my arm getting tired). This makes using zoom lenses a practically possibility instead of having to carry around more, lighter prime lenses, so overall my kit is smaller and lighter.- Motor auto tune takes the guess work out of motor strength- You can change all the gimbal settings without a cell phone. This makes me so happy because I hate relying on phone apps to do anything- The underslung mode is way more natural and lets you get some low down shots much easier- There's more space for your camera. I can actually use the flip up screen on my a7R III in here (to a point)- Dual format quick release makes it easy to take the camera off the gimbal and use it handheld or on any tripod then put it back on without having to re-balanceCON (Only one so far)- I don't like the thumbscrews that require a coin or tool to fully tighten. I have others that are like this, but also have a little fold out ring on them to make it a tool-less thing. Not a big deal, and you can replace them if you really want

A well rounded and powerful Gimbal!
I recently started filming videos using my mirrorless camera and boy were my videos shaky. I was having a hard time getting smooth and stable shots. The answer to my prayer; Zhiyun Weebill S gimbal. There are lots of DSLR/Mirrorless gimbals in the market, but they are either expensive because they are essentially designed to handle heavy camera and attachments, or they are just very bulky and not easily portable. The Weebill S sits in the sweet spot, in a small form factor and minimalist design, this gimbal is light, portable and best of all, mighty strong to handle a payload up to 6.6lbs. You can mount the Sony Mirrorless Camera A7 M3 along with a 24 – 70mm lens and this gimbal will perfectly balance it. The motors on this gimbal is very powerful and you can see it do wonders. It has easy access to 6 creative recording modes: PF Mode, F mode, L mode, POV, Vortex and Go Mode. No Toggling required. Triple tapping the trigger button on the front puts this gimbal in Vlogging/Selfie mode.A neat feature that’s not commonly found on most gimbals are the axis locks. This is useful feature that helps during calibration. You can easily lock each axis and it becomes easily portable and practical.Out of the box, you also get a tripod. Not only does it help rest the gimbal where you want, but because of the L Shape Zhiyun has designed, you can unscrew the tripod and attach it on the other end of the gimbal shoe. Now this unlocks the added stability and some creative movements while filming.Another reason behind this L shape design is to house the battery compartment. Speaking of Battery, the lithium battery delivers up to 14 hours, that’s a whole day of work load and no stress of recharging or replacing batteries. With the Zhiyun ZY Play app you can easily automate advance cinematographic functions like Panorama, Timelase, Motionlapse and even long exposure timelapse. And finally, what makes this gimbal such an awesome gadget is the selection of accessories you can buy to extend its functionality. I highly recommend checking out Image Transmission Module, Focus/zoom servo motors and the TransMount quick setup kit.I highly recommend this product to all videographers. There is no experience level required, this gimbal is perfect for anyone starting off their filming journey or even the experienced videographer who is looking for a portable gimbal that can handle an impressive payload.

Error Messages
Hi,I want to bring to your attention a couple of things that are bothering me. For some reason, I get an error message of "AXIS LOCKED," even when the axes are all unlocked. Please advise how I can resolve this issue. When I connected the gimble with Sony a6600, it doesn't recognize the camera ( it's not a big deal, but I want to know whether it's compatible with Sony a6600). The battery compartment is jammed. I have managed to open it once, but it is so difficult to open. Please advise if this is a defect in my product or you have received similar complaints. I want to buy some accessories, but I am not sure whether I should keep this piece or not.

Poor compatibility without workarounds for Sony cameras
For some reason, this gimbal won't connect to Sony cameras I only found out by reading about it on YouTubers' sites after having the connection fail when I first set it up. If you follow the instructions and use the indicated cable it won't connect. but you can tell the gimbal you are setting up a Panasonic camera and it will connect with the functionality in the compatibility list. If you instead use the USB to USB cable you can actually have more functionality beyond what is listed if you tell the gimbal you are setting up a Canon or a Panasonic camera.

Smaller than my Ronin S, but as strong. Perfect travel gimbal!!!
Ok so I bought this gimbal to complement my Ronin S kit. Why? For video shooting in tighter spaces and for TRAVELLING. The Ronin S is wayyyyy to big to travel with (I did it many times and let me tell you it’s a pain in the a**). So I bought this little guy and WOW. It’s so small it fits like right INSIDE my Lowepro 450AWII. My Ronin S had to be strapped outside the bag, easy to steal or exposed to elements, but not this one. And the motors, they are crazy strong. Takes my A7iii + 16-35GM like a champ. The only downside is that it’s easy to push on buttons and change modes on it. I always find myself clicking on every damn button on this thing. So take your time to set it correctly and be sure to know what and how to click it. Other downside is that you can’t pan when placed horizontally. This is legit ridiculous. Anyways gonna wait for an update on this one. Other than that, size is an A+ and price too. I mean 450$ for a Ronin S “equivalent” is quite cheap.
