A Great Toy For A Child’s Development
With a variety of colorful accessories, this vet carrying case can engage a child’s imagination and help them develop the motor skills needed for snapping, buttoning, zippering, etc. However, It is the type of toy that seems most beneficial when a parent or other adult uses it to play with the child and encourage them to practice those skills. For example, a parent can use this toy to spark a child’s imagination by telling them stories of the puppy/kitten’s visit to the vet. If the child has anxiety over their next Dr. visit, you could use the assorted medical equipment to show what the Dr. does for the kitten to help it get better.Or you can use the assorted pieces of various materials and textures to teach the difference between rough vs smooth, hard vs soft, etc. And, of course, you can have them practicing buttoning/unbuttoning, zipping/unzipping, tying/untying, etc. While playing with this set and encouraging them with every success (no matter how small) you help them learn and become better and better at those developmental skills. An adult’s active encouragement makes playing with this toy more fun and kids will learn without realizing they are being taught. That was a sneaky parental tactic that I loved employing when our children were young (and can still get away with even now.)This toy is not just a good tool for parents but also for grandparents, day care providers, babysitters, etc. Basically, anyone who interacts with 3+ year old children with an eye toward aiding their cognitive development and improving their motor skills.Outside of an adult’s interaction, the toy will still provide fun and benefits to the child but those benefits will be greatly increased when you get involved.

Overall Cute/Fun Concept, but Can Be a Bit Trickier for Younger Kids. They will need a Little Help.
Overall this is a cute toy. There are plastic push pieces that "snap" into metal grommets (holes). Use the plastic pieces to hold the different things in place; like the cat/dog, tub, other felt accessories, etc. Some of the felt accessories have a string attached to them. You can wrap the string around the plastic stem and pretend it's plugged in, etc.The cat/dog are only 1 piece. The cat is on one side and the dog is on the other. This can be a bit difficult for the younger kids. The age is 3+, but my 4 yr old was having a little trouble pushing the plastic stems into the grommet and it was even trickier for her to pluck them back out. Be prepared to help the younger ones. My daughter can do it for the most part, but sometimes gets a smidge irritated.

Smaller than expected, pieces seem fragile
This vet set is designed to teach kids how to use zippers, buttons, snaps, etc in a vet setting. However all the pieces are very small and some seem delicate and easily broken/torn, making this unsuitable for 2-3 year olds who are actually learning those skills. The set is also pretty small; my twins will not be able to share it.

Imaginative Creative Fun!
Have a future Veterinarian? This 34 piece set allows students to snap, button, zip and lace felt objects to a background to create a scene that tells a story or scenario. The great thing about this is the carrying case! The child can grab this to go and it opens up to be a veterinarian's office! This toy helps with developing a child's cognitive, motor, social, and imagination skills!

Perfect for Taking Along
If you have a young one who needs to stay quiet at a place like the doctor's office waiting room or at church, this little set is absolutely perfect for sticking in your bag to take it along wherever you need to go. The pieces and activities help with manual dexterity and the vet theme is fun, too. It's a little bit expensive in my opinion, but otherwise I think it is great.

Cute idea, but hard for my almost 3 year old
This is so cute and was excited to have a toy to help with motor skills for my almost 3 year old. He was happy to play and thankfully his big sister was there to help as the only thing he could do alone was zip the bag. Everything else is just a tad too hard for him to understand and led to frustration. His sister got upset a few times too so I may tuck this toy away for awhile and revisit when hes older. Great concept but very frustrating
