Motorguide breaker kit protects your expensive trolling motor from voltage overloads
This should be installed on every trolling motor for protection. The price was really low and the unit works like your house circuit breakers. If it trips, wait a few minutes and push in the button on the side. When it trips, it prevents damage to the trolling motor. Easy installation near the battery on the positive wire. Make sure you buy some ring connectors in the 10 to 14 size for easy connections.

Used as breaker for DC distribution panel
Found this to be most cost effective way to protect a 4 circuit, 2 outlet panel (a 50 amp terminal fuse costs almost as much as this breaker and is single use and requires the additional purchase of a terminal fuse block). Finding terminals that will fit 6-Gauge wire can be a problem. Between West Marine (stores have crimpers you can use if you bring the wire and fitting into the store), and NAPA I finally assembled all of the terminals and shrink wrap needed to complete the project.

Easy to install
Easy to install, I have not actually used these yet, but my trolling motor was tripping my 30 amp breaker and these 50 amp ones are what it needed. I am sure they will work fine, if not I will change the review.

I cannot use this type. It is faulty and not reachable if reset is needed. I bought it for my mobility scooter. The original is the pop up type, which is mounted on the frame of the scooter and the pop up reset switch is reachable through a hole on the cover. Nadir.
