This is a fairly large, beautiful statue depicting Sekhmet (or, if you like the more violent side of Bast). It came packaged in a large blue box with plenty of styrofoam packing.I was surprised at the weight of the statue when I unboxed it. For sure I didn't expect it to be light as a feather, but it's heavier and feels more durable than expected, so I love it! I imagine if you were careless it'd break fairly easily, but I can see a beauty like this lasting for a very long time. It's collector item quality for sure.What really makes this piece stand out is the details. Sekhmet looks so stately and fierce, and the solar headdress on her head is nicely colored and shaped. The folds and decorations of Sekhmet's dress are well done and realistic. Overall, the piece has a very realistic look to it. In a different kind of universe, I would expect Sekhmet to spring to life at any minute.Sekhmet sits on a throne (whose base makes up most of the weight) flanked by two fine sphinxes. The throne itself is decorated along the side, behind Sekhmet, and at the back of the throne. Ra rises up behind Sekhmet's head with wings whose feathers are delineated in the traditional ancient Egyptian style.This piece is a bit pricey. I would say it's worth it, though. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I'm also pleased at how fast it arrived and how carefully it was packaged.Now here's the toughest question: where do I want to display this beautiful statue?

Absolutely beautiful. Words really can do it no justice. It’s very heavy, sturdy and you can tell it is well made. The intricate details on it are stunning! Very very happy with my purchase.

I have several statues made by this company and every single one of them is a beautiful work of art. Whether you want an idol for your shrine or altar or you're only a collector, I can't recommend Veronese statues enough! I'm never disappointed!
