Great value for Lipo or NIMH batteries.
The price is great for a simple charger for a variety of batteries-NIMH to various lipos. You set the type of battery, then the desired amperage/charge rate, then it starts for Spectrum batteries. If you're not using Spectrum brand batteries, no problem, just a quick double press of the button and it starts charging. It's a little tricky at first, however it works easily once you get the hang of it. The actual charger is TINY, while its AC power transformer is almost twice as large and heavier. I don't have lipos to talk about, however its NIMH charging is great, and lets you quick charge, or slow charge for longer battery life. It even has a tiny fan inside to keep it cool. My batteries do not get warm with slow charge; I've no need for fast charge.

Amazing, right out of the box.
I used the charger for my new plane, a HABU SS 50mm. The charger was great right out of the box. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, and just use a little common sense, everything will be good. It charged my 3S 1300Mah in just a few minutes (like 10-15 minutes). Very pleased, don't freak out if it beeps at you loudly. Great product Spektrum! Very well done!

Great upgrade from a trashy USB charger, or for when you dont want to lug around a larger unit.
Not too much to say, as there really aren't many features. It does what it says on the tin. A couple of hits and misses though: Hits: The single button interface is intuitive, simple, and the instructions are printed right on the charger itself. No screen necessary, since it's a basic, no frills charger. But having the 4 level charge status indicator is a nice touch. Once charging is complete, it stops charging, and gives off a good loud beep. It'll keep beeping periodically until you disconnect the battery or unplug it. Unlike units that dont beep, or beep only once, there's no chance that you'll be needlessly waiting around for it to finish, when it already has. Misses: Just one really. The charger itself is quite small, but the AC adapter is just about twice the size of the charger. That's alright, but bcause they're seperate components, there's also more bulk in the form of the cord that connects the two. Having the charger split into multiple pieces might be a pro for you, depending on where you plan on storing it, or how you transport your RC gear. But for something this small, I would have preferred if all components were in a single, slightly larger housing. Less individual items and less messy wiring would be less hassle to store away and use, in my opinion.

There is only one button, but there is only one button
I thought this charger would be a little bit smarter than it is. After I figured out the Chinglish in the instructions it’s pretty easy to use. The button presses are quicker than I thought they should be but after a few tries I got it. I think I’ll charge everything manually because the auto or smart setting didn’t charge consistently. Also, make sure you have the right adaptors and connectors. Battery interfaces (connectors) are just insane stupid.

Good value battery charger
Originally I thought a DC powered charger would be the right choice, but ultimately decided on this AC powered charger. It was a good decision. It charges my 2200 mAh batteries in about 1/2 hour. Works with Spektrum batteries and with adapters it can charge other batteries with XT60 connectors etc. I would buy again.

Awesome!!
Over the years, I've accumulated many chargers. Except for the really early ones, they are all great. They are easy to use, fast and one in particular can charge two batts simultaneously, which most can. This one is bare-bones, and super convenient to use. It really charges the battery well and keeps track of the health of the battery. The only thing I'd really like is if it could be charged with DC, like a car battery. Beyond that, I highly recommend it.

Good but a little too basic
If you get a brushed Arrma RC vehicle that comes with a nimh battery, this charger is a must-have. It's great for charging the nimh in a reasonable amount of time: about an hour vs. over six hours with the charger that comes with the truck, and it uses the same connector. It leaves the door open for lipo if you are interested to try. As for the bad. I don't see how you can call a charger "smart" when it doesn't even have a storage charge mode. That should be a bare-minimum feature for a charger that is made for lipo. So I don't recommend this charger if you plan to use lipo batteries. Also, obviously the price point is low, but they should toss in a couple of accessories to make it a complete package. Specifically, if you get a new smart battery, you may need to update the firmware, which you need a $12 cable for. And if you get into 3S stuff from this brand you'll likely need the IC3 to IC5 adaptor, which is another $12. These ought to be included, or priced more reasonably.
