🔥 Keep Your Pi Cool and Connected!
The REES52 Aluminium Alloy Cooling Heatsink Armor Metal Case is engineered specifically for the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, featuring a large heatsink to prevent overheating, a durable aluminium alloy construction for protection, an open design to maintain WiFi signal integrity, and includes high-quality thermal tape for enhanced cooling performance.

cool enough
This case is a worth buy. I have already used fan cases and they become irritating after a few months due to noise. If fan fails- what they do- you need to have a spare fan unless you want to keep your Pi off! That adds to costs too. Without fan, gpio pins are free to use.But this fully passive case does the job for daily use. While writing this in summer, room temperature is 33C and Pi averages at 48C and maxes at 55C with Chromium & VS Code running. Which is acceptable.Tips:1. Bare case does NOT touch the CPU, but RAM and network chip do. Its definite imperfection. So one star less. Workaround: use only one silicon pad supplied for CPU and leave other chips as is. Using all pads causes misalignment too. Plus, only CPU cooling matters, not other chips.2. Cut a strip from packing foam in the same box and insert on gpio, simple solution makes them touch proof.SD card sticks out of the case, which is not good. And with such metal case, if you accidentally drop your Pi- its going to crack for sure! Cool case but not safe enough, and expensive.

Good product
Finally an economical Pi Case that actually works and is silent. However will wait for peak summer to see how it holds up without active cooling.

Works smooth, no fan noise
The fans make no noise; the thermal pads are good (thermal paste is always better than pads) - But, the lower part of the Case doesn't touch the back of the SDRAM, i.e., there's no projection from the case. It's recommended to place one of the spare thermal pads to the back of the Pi if you wish to transfer the heatUpdate (March'21) - After using it for 4 months, there's a little bit of dust accumulation on the thermal pads; this makes the fans quite noisy. It's recommended to change the thermal pads at this point. So far, I've run Portainer on it, which runs Docker images of Pi Hole and Smokeping. I don't intend to use this for anything else at this point. I shall update if this changes in the near future.

Does help with thermals but with caveats
Without the fans, saw a 10-15C drop compared to the official case (with no CPU heatsink). With fans on, saw another 10-15C drop. 20-30C compared to stock. Its a win.But the fans get whiny after 3-4 months and the noise is annoying. If noise is not a consideration, then this is a great choice (the price is not great though). I have had to switch off the fans because the pi is on my table. If noise is a concern, then buy the heatsink without fans and jerry rig a silent Noctua/Arctic fan to a 12V adapter. Beware that the heatsink will be quiet warm to the touch. Even uncomfortable when the pi is under heavy load.

Just bought fairly solid and sturdy.
The manufacturer would have gotten 5 stars if an instructional on the assembly was provided with the packaging. Either a printed document or a link to an online PDF would've been sufficient. The fans could also come screwed in. Why are you making client screw in the fans when they screw in to the case it's needless extra work. Also, screws don't sit as well as they could. That'd be a plus. Please send a few extra screws.

Buy this for the passive cooling capacity of the heatsink
excellent heatsing, the CNC quality is very good. Comping to the heat dissapation aspect of the heatsink, it isver good and is only good for the passive cooling capacity of the heatsink. The 2 fans do not seem to add musch to the cooling of the board. The fans are tiny and do not push much air, and even the tiny air that is pushed bounces back because there is no passage for exhaust. So if you are buying this for the sake of the heatsink having a fan then it doest not add any value. Try to buy the model where there is just the heatsink and add a larger 5v fan if you are overclocking

Good case. Fans feel like they are complete worthless.
The case is very good. It's like a huge heatsink. Similar to the FLIRC case but this one looks more like a heatsink and it has two fans. The fans feel completely useless though, wish I would've gotten the one without fans. Temps are always stable around 40 degrees even without the fans (I have checked) So that's nice. Love the case so far. Haven't tried to overclock the cpu because that is not what I got the Pi4 for.

Solid Metal. Perfect finish.
Plus:1. Very Solid metal2. Perfect Finish3. Great Look4. Will Protect the board very well.Minus:1. It's not helping to contain the heat. You need to have a dedicated fan.2. no slot/holder to mount the fan on top of it.Mixed Feeling:1. GPIO pin slot is open. It's handy some time, but make it vulnerable for accidental damage2. you have to unscrew the case to mount/unmount the camera and display module (which is annoying some times)
