Switched For Christmas

Perfect Hallmark Christmas Movie
I hate those long, rambling movie reviews.... the ones that either give too much away, or by the time you read it, you could have watched half the movie HahaThis is your typical Hallmark Christmas movie. (Nothing wrong with that!) It’s perfect for family movie night, or for when you want to curl up with a hot chocolate... or any drink..and binge watch movies alone, or with the girls, or with significant other. It’s a Christmasy love story with Candace Cameron Bure..so you know its good! Plus, she’s playing two roles so it’s twice the Candace! lol Watch it and thank me later!

Candace Sister Christmas Switch Cameron- Bure
Right along with Moonlight And Mistletoe Let It Snow and Christmas Under Wraps Switched For Christmas which has Candace Cameron-Bure playing twins who swap lives until Christmas-and features Candaces daughter Natasha Bure playing ones of the twins daughter-is one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies that she was in. Candace plays twins as I said and after they swap lives until Christmas they go about planning each others Christmas parties. One reunites with the boy she was in love with in high school while the other falls for her sisters co-worker. You should get it. Merry Christmas.

A Favorite Movie!
I love Candace Cameron Bure in just about anything but Switched For Christmas has become my favorite. She plays twin sisters who live about an hour apart in Colorado. Chris is a school teacher, divorced with two children, while Kate is single and a real estate developer. They don't see much of each other because of their busy schedules. When their dad kind of tricks them into having lunch together, they begin comparing lives, each positive the other couldn't do what they do. So they decide to prove each other wrong by switching places.Very entertaining and both fall for a good looking guy so there's a bit of romance thrown into the mix. Loved it!

Different
This is the story of two sisters who are identical twins. It is Christmas and both of them are feeling pessimistic about their lives, their lack of relationships and a Christmas party they have to plan. Chris is a single mom who lives in Littleton Colorado with her two kids. She appears to be divorced and is an Art teacher at a local school. She wants to change the annual Christmas part but her principal doesn't. Kate is a single person who works as an executive at an architectural firm in Denver. Her boss wants her to plan an unique Christmas party for the office. The two decide to switch places for a little while for a change of pace. A number of expected and unexpected things happen along the way. The kids and dad figure out the switch pretty early on and play along, but others in the story do not which leads to some interesting situations. This movie is a little different than your average Christmas Hallmark movie, even though it has some Christmas themes and the usual romantic storyline. The idea of twins changing places is somewhat fresh. That being said, there's also something a little off about the whole thing. The twins are played by the same actress who seems like the same person while playing both. Changing clothes doesn't differentiate her enough to notice the change. I suppose that's part of the idea but at points, it seems like it's just the same person doing things in two locations. It doesn't necessarily ruin the movie because at most points you can kind of make yourself see the two as being different.I wouldn't rank this one among Hallmarks Christmas classics, but it is not too bad if you are looking for something a little different. It is fairly well made and well acted as far as Hallmark movies go and the settings are decent enough that they don't seem fake or cheap. This one is worth checking out.

This was fun - I enjoyed it!
Candace Cameron Bure plays twin sisters Kate & Chris in this lighthearted Christmas story. Both feel overwhelmed with work & family leading up to the holidays, and so they agree to trade places. Kate lives alone in her condo with a high-paying-but-stressful job in Denver, while single-mom Chris is trying to raise two kids while teaching high school art in Littleton. It's a cute story, with both young women lerning to appreciate what they've got and eachother, as they each grow in their experiences (while finding love at the same time!)

Weak comedy, weak romance, no lasting message.
This suffers from a common pitfall...after a time, it is hard for the audience to tell the “twins” apart and therefore the impact of the crossed lives becomes hard to follow. The lessons they learn are not really impactful to the audience or clear. As usual, the sisters fall in love but even that storyline is weak. I’m sorry I bought it and probably won’t watch it again. Buyer’s remorse!

fun movie
This reminds me of the movie The Parent Trap. Identical twins (both played by Candace Cameron-Bure) switch places during the holidays. It's an adventure that leads to romance for both ladies, but the men in their lives don't know they aren't who they pretend to be. It's entertaining, as are most of Candace's holiday movies are, in my opinion. That's why I had to own it for myself.

Not bad at all
The movie was fine . I wished they learned a little more about Denver and surroundings . Littleton is one of Denver’s suburbs, about 20-30 min from Downtown and not just a small town . The skyline they showed is not from Denver either . Aside from that, it’s one of those movies that makes you dream about Christmas in mid summer .

Brilliant
I recorded this movie at Christmas because I love it. Love Candace in it. I’ve bought the DVD but need to buy a multi region player.

Fun Escapism
This movie is perfectly predictable, but it is very well done. Sisters, whose lives have diverged, switch places for Christmas. The corporate city girl moves into her sister’s suburban house and takes on surly teenagers and organizing theChristmas fair at the high school. The suburban mom moves into a sleek high rise apartment, wears a designer wardrobe and becomes an executive for the week. Both find love along the way. It’s charming without being too over the top saccharine with the theme of understanding each other better. I’ve watched some duds in this genre this year, but this is one of Hallmark’s best offerings in recent years.
