Solid Construction, Intriguing Challenge
This is a fun and surprisingly challenging puzzle. It's well-built and turns great. It has little ball bearings that snap into place so it's clicky, which I like. I thought the spinning circle in the middle of each side wouldn't make it much more difficult than a regular pyraminx, but I was wrong. I've been fiddling around with it for an hour or so, and I've almost got it solved. However, when I fix one piece, another gets out of place. I really like it and I'm determined to figure it out without looking up youtube tutorials. I would recommend this puzzle to any moderate to advanced cuber.

Clicky, glossy, and snappy.
I love the glossy look this puzzle has. The circular center-turning is cool, harder counterclockwise than clockwise for me. I love that clicking mechanism. Not much to dislike.

A new twist on an old classic
So i know I'm dating myself, but in the 80s I had (and still have somewhere) the Rubik's Cube and most of the rush of subsequent puzzles including the Pyramix, the Missing Link, and the Snake. So when I saw this variant on the traditional pyramid puzzle, I thought "Why not?" The significant difference between this and a typical pyramid is the central circle on each face. While a pyramid really has only four rotations (the rotation of each tip of the pyramid is inconsequential), this puzzle eliminates the tips and is augmented with a simple rotating slide puzzle in the middle of each face. That takes the numbers of degrees of freedom from four to eight, A Rubik's cube has six. So while the old pyramid was pretty easy to solve without any help, this one's a bugger and I haven't gotten there yet! Now, as far as this specific product, the pyramid twist segments work well, with nice clicks of the balls that lock them in place. The slide puzzle, like all slide puzzles, is a bit dodgy and sometimes can be hard to move without the whole face turning. If something's going to fail, that's probably where it will fail. The picture shows the package it came in, which in addition to being pretty well destroyed in the padded envelope it was shipped in, isn't really suitable for the US market. I suspect every toy you pick up in a local toy store will have some sort of warning label, etc. This is all Chinese obviously targeted for the country of origin. So, I probably wouldn't be handing this over to young kids, and if you're planning on giving it as a gift, I don't think you'll want to do it in the package it comes in, unless the recipient is a fan of quirky foreign labeled products. BTW, the QR code on the side of the box takes you to a Chinese site that immediately attempts to install WeChat on your device. Naughty naughty! WeChat is the Chinese messaging/payment app that's replacing cash for much of the Chinese technical elite.

Interesting Pyraminx Variation
For those who don't know what a pyraminx puzzle is, I recommend looking that up first. For those that do know, basically, this puzzle is similar enough to the regular pyraminx that the same techniques can be used to solve or build patterns. The addition of the center disk doesn't add a significant challenge to the puzzle, in my opinion. However, it does add a few extra elements for visual interest should you decide to display this puzzle somewhere. I got the usual checkerboard pattern, and then turned the center disks 30 degrees off; this causes the puzzle to lock down as well as enhancing the pattern beyond what a normal pyraminx can do. I should also mention that the corner pieces do not rotate on this puzzle, the way they do on a regular pyraminx, so that's one less thing to worry about.

Petal Pyramix is a good cube
But calling it a speed cube is not good! It’s a very low quality cube! Solving it is fun and it does the job but someone looking at a speed cube option for this like elsewhere

Great for passing time in quarantine!
This is very cute, and I am glad I got the petal version because it's more difficult. We've been working on this all day and I can see it's going to take a long time to put together. Very challenging. Would recommend!
