Does it have an Electric brake

No , there is no instant stop . The blade keeps spinning briefly once you release the trigger . Does not slow down progress . Does not hinder H & S .

How do you unlock the blade housing? I can’t unlock it to fit the blade, maybe I’m just being dumb??

There is a thumb bar below the trigger switch that needs held in to lower the saw and then you can lock the saw in the transit position. Undo the bolt on the arbor and then unlock the saw and hold the guard in it's retracted position as you raise the saw. You should then easily be able to remove the blade and fit the new one.
