these save alot of headache in finding gu10 ceiling downlights the same size as philips hue gu10 spot lights. plastic and cheap looking up up close but once they are in they good much better.

Great lites, amazing control with the added hue hub!

Cheap but does the job. Light is a bulb holder with the connector separate. I have a hue installation but wanted this separate as the toilet fitting is connected to a fan. I’ve set this up Bluetooth so can set the power fail colour and use the standard wall switch.

Sorry folks but these down lights are simply not good enough for the price that we pay, As you will see from photos, I had to go down to local a merchant and bought new steel fittings for £4.50 each and fitted the bulb from original Phillips fitting. There are several reasons for why you might want to do this. For start, Phillips downlight fittings are made of flimsy plastic and you can only tilt that bulb to one pre-set angle. The only come in silver finish and lastly and perhaps more important to consider is that being plastic they will not be fire ratted fittings. This doesn't matter as such in my case but you may give this some serious consideration before you start drilling holes in ceilings and breach your fire ceiling compartments, especially if you live in a blocks of flats, and before we have another fire disaster. They are far too expensive too, you are better off like me buying a decent quality fitting and phillips hue GU10 starter kits, you get 3 x GU10 bulbs, phillis hue bridge and a remote for around £120, with the cost of fitting it works out about £45.00 per fitting but you end up with a spare remote switch and you can always sell your spare bridge or give it to a friend that you dont like very much.

Que decir de Philips hue.. caro como ella sola pero el mejor sistema de iluminación domótica del mundo.Es el primero de muchos que entran en casa, este especialmente lo utilice para el baño y bueno, el foco la verdad es que es de una calidad superior. Al principio un poco confuso para enganchar las 2 patillas/muelles pero todo bien.Me sorprendió que venga hasta con el terminal donde va enganchado la bombilla, no me lo esperaba.La conexión con la app y con el ecosistema de Apple es brillante, nunca me ha fallado y si tienes un HomePod, iPad o Apple TV en casa puedes hacer uso de el fuera de casa. Si no tienes nada de esto igualmente a través de la app propia de Hue se puede controlar remotamente (desde la app "Casa" de apple tienes que tener en casa algo de los 3 dispositivos que comentaba para hacer uso desde fuera de casa)Yo lo uso con el Hue Bridge porque ya tenia mas bombillas pero decir que tambien se puede usar con Bluetooth (personalmente no lo recomiendo en absoluto para quienes van a montarlo en toda la casa, si es para 1 o 2 bombillas en una habitación concreta pues...bueno)
