I like these; not lightfast as claimed
ETA: I don't think these are as lightfast as they claim. I did a quick swatch and drag with water for each color, twice, and then put one sheet in the window and the other in a drawer. That was on April 16. Today (May 2!) I pulled it down and the yellow is almost gone, while the green has faded to blue and one of the oranges in wash is just gone. Disappointing for something sold as "artists" and "lightfast" though, honestly, not unexpected given the price point. Treat these like Crayolas until you've proven to your satisfaction the marketing claims, I guess. I dropped my rating because of the misleading claims.I've tried a lot of watercolor brush pens, but I struggle to get a good blend, or even just a smoother look than you'd get with cheap Crayola. I was looking at a few sets for an upcoming trip; I wanted something smaller I could tuck into my bag or into a travel kit, that wasn't as precious as my Copics. I really wasn't sure about these; they're so inexpensive ($1 each) and claim to be pigment-based and light-fast, which virtually no watercolor or alcohol brush markers are (just the very pricey Winsor & Newton ones).Well, I can't speak to their longevity or lightfastness, but so far they're exactly what I hoped they'd be; strong colors, long, flexible brush, blend equal to Tombow, and a smaller barrel than the typical Tombow style (same size as Kuretake ZIG FUDEBIYORI which also claim to be pigment).I've done some testing on mixed media paper (S&B alpha), Canson coldpress, and HP bond. Paper matters here! They perform like Tombows, though Tombows and the Kuretake both have more "calibrated" color levels. Some of these are very dark (the earth tones) or very light in a way that makes them hard to use together or mix. I had no bleed on any of the papers I used, though there was light ghosting on the bond paper. I also had fun scribbling on yupo and using a brush to get washes. After letting it dry overnight, there is zero movement. This makes me wonder if it's actually mixed with dyes, though the "viridian hue" does behave just like phthalo green (and it's gorgeous). Ultimately I don't care; these will go with me on my trip unless I can find the rest of my Kuretake Zigs, and be versatile enough to use plein air in a sketchbook. I'll start lightfastness tests, too, just because I'm curious! Note, these are not good for kids to color with at all, so don't buy them expecting to pass them on if they don't work for you. I'd also suggest getting the Fudebiyori if you're doing brush lettering, because tips are subjective and about half of these are very dark straight out of the marker.

A quality experience at a great price
As a child, I would use erasers, pencils, watercolor cakes and pastels from this respected Indian brand. Fast forward to 30 years later and now I’m in awe of the Artist range. These brush pens are shaped for a comfortable grip and are loaded with pigment. The brush tips make color application easy and resemble watercolor paintbrushes. I especially love the vibrant colors and the way these pens create a watercolor painting like finish. I hope they make bigger sets with many more colors.

Incredible, Satisfying, and Vibrant
The media could not be loaded. I've used the brush pens by themselves and with mixed media. They are absolutely delightful! The colors are rich and vibrant and get delivered onto paper like a dream! I used to be nervous about watercolors, but these pens make me want to experiment! They go over oil pastels so smoothly! I just wish they had more colors, especially some pastel shades. The potential of these brush pens is simply mind boggling. But the best part is, they are budget friendly. I absolutely love them. Way to go Camlin!
