Been recommended to buy something like this as suffering with chest infections and nasty cough. This definitely makes the suffering easier, though it doesn’t cure it. I’d say the pads are a bit pricey for that they don’t last long, having to change every 8 hours at the max. so if using long term you’d go through them quickly. The inhaler is very easy to set up and there is clear guide book included on how to set up and how to use it. Unit has to be plugged in while in use so need to make sure you have flat surface near an outlet socket (as the unit shouldn’t be handheld or placed at an angle during use). You can also adjust intensity of the steam which is very easy to do with one button. Overall good product, I would recommend it, specially that it can be used as much as one needs instead of taking useless meds.

I wanted something that was like good old fashion steaming over a bowl. Absolute rubbish, our tap water is very hot, by the time you fill it up and add the vapour reseal and sit to use, nothing, no steam at all. so i decided to do it the old way, back to the bowl and towel. Total waste of money, I only got it because it was Vicks, so assumed it would be good.

This inhaler is fantastic. I had a chest infection last week, and it has helped me to get over it quicker. I used to have one with handles, but it wasn't secure. This Vix one, however, clicks securely, and even with boiling water in it you can't feel the heat so can hold and use it with ease.I'd recommend that you buy an extra pack of the Vix menthol scent pads that comes with it, or you can use Olbas Oil in exchange. This product was so good, my mum asked me to order one and she loves her's.For info, the Vix sign rubs off easily from the unit during washes, but that's not really a problem. I would recommend this inhaler to everyone. Really great value for just under £10.

Bought this when I was recovering from a chest infection and has a lingering dry cough/blocked ears. It was overall a good product especially when I used in the evening, it offered relief from my dry cough. It is not too big so is easy to handle/store. The steam does get quite hot so I would adjust how much came out when it got too much. The menthol tabs were quite over powering but I think would be effective if you had a blocked nose. It is easy to clean. My only criticism is the cord is quite short and it needs to stay plugged in for use so you have to be near a power source.
