I must have a little yc dark sugarfree chocolate everyday. This is a fantastic product for people like me who cannot eat refined sugars.The maltitol in the yc dark chocolate is the best sweetener because it assimalates into the bloodstream very slowly and as a result I feel great.Keep up the good work you do in making such a wonderful product that serves many of us so well. I ordered this chocolate because my highly allergic child cannot eat milk products. When the description indicated the chocolate is lactose free and "Vegan" (which usually means no animal products - including dairy) I was thrilled. Like another customer, I was sorely disappointed. Unfortuately I did not read the fine print on the wrapper until after my daughter had eaten some and had severe gastro problems afterwards. Amazon please fix the misleading description.

Product is just ok. Not really a big hurry but if you are a chocolate lover and on the diet, this product help to suffice the cravings.

Better than most other sugar frees I tried. Scary amount of Sat Fat(24g per bar), but it's chocolate. I don't know what they mean when they say don't eat too much. A little guideline there would be nice. I have never had a problem scarfing down 1/2 bar and on occasion 3/4.I think Ultimate Nut & Candy Co sugar free tastes a little better and has less sat fat and calories, but this one is OK.

"Wow" is the only way to describe this. New to the sugar-free world, I have recently had some distasteful experiences with sugar-free products. So I half wondered if I'd end up chucking this stuff in disgust after trying it. Boy was I in for a surprise.I'd tried Lindt and Ghiradelli 70% chocolates and frankly I had to choke them down. One taste of this and I realized I might have to ignore the warning on the label not to eat too much. Rich and smooth is how I'd describe it. I am just amazed that a sugar-free food could beat two of the most decadent names in chocolate.

I love this candy but it has gotten too expensive. Only over a couple years the price jumped quite a bit and now I'm in search of something just as good with a lower price.

My wife and I are dark chocolate snobs (Scharffenberger and Organic Trader Joe's Dark are our favorites) and so when we went low-carb we began hunting for alternatives. Everything we tried was sorely lacking, either with an odd taste, bad texture, or causing serious stomach upset. But, we tried this one out and lo and behold, it's excellent! If I was going full carb, I'd still take the Scharffen, but for low-carb or sugar free this one is oustanding. On top of that, their customer service was proactive, excellent, notifying me of a slight delay in shipping and actually refunding my shipping costs! You don't find good service everyday and this was GREAT service.Great product plus great service = winning combination for me! Try them for yourself.

Tasty "Sugar free" chocolate is very difficult to find. Yamate makes a "natural" version, without extra additives and tastes very good. My main improvement wish is for Yamate to make a real dark (80%-85% chocolate) version.Note: For about 6 months in 2009, they switched manufacturers and added a small amount of milk powder to the product for smoothness. I doubt I was the only one to complain, but happily, they changed the formulation back within a few months, to a non-dairy recipe, which I appreciated! (Its great when a company listens to its customers.)I now buy the 3# bag, which makes it more affordable.Trader Joes: Dump the awful tasting sugar-free chocolate you carry and use this!
