Borrowed & Blue: Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Fast Series
BOOK 1 (3 Stars) I started with book two in the series without knowing it and went back and read book one. I enjoyed seeing the story from Rachels POV more than I did Darcy. Rachel was just more likable. Not much more happened for Rachel than you learn in book two, you just get a deeper look into what happened. This was such a fast read as I read it in one sitting as well. Overall, a quick series that was ok.BOOK 2 (3 Stars)I put this on, and was almost half way through when I realized it was the second book in the Darcy and Rachel story. I decided I was too far into the story to go back and start book one. I just finished this one first. This was such a fast read as I read it in one sitting. Darcy was pretty unlikable in the beginning, but the story was intriguing enough for me to continue on to find out what happened. I loved Ethan once he entered the story.I do feel the story was almost surface level though. The story would jump before really digging into the plot point. I wanted a little more, but still enjoyed it.Overall, this was cute. I hope reading book one will not make me not enjoy book one as much. I own both, so moving on to book one now!

Two awesome books in one volume!
I read both of these years ago and when I saw "Something Borrowed" on TV recently, I thought it was time to read the books again. I get so frustrated with Rachel and I completely loathe Darcy. Rachel can't stand up to the self-absorbed Darcy. Even though I feel this way, I get sucked into the plot once again and can't put it down until I've read both books. I rant and rave, but can't help but relate to Rachel....who met and has more in common with both Ethan & Dex than Darcy ever did. The thing is, is that these characters, though imperfect and totally unlikeable at times, were totally believable. I commend the author for crafting a story that engages the reader in a plot and gets them to follow the tale to the end, no matter how much the reader may dislike some of the principal characters.

POV are my favorite
This book (1+2) took you into two different heads and really helped you eventually love all the characters and identify w them as well. 10/10..

Emily is the best!
My favorite author! I have enjoyed everything Emily Giffin has written. I had read both of these books years ago and decided to re-read them this winter. Easy reads with sweet stories of friendship and romance.

Great 2 for 1
Great value for both books. However, there are some green pages as well as a black sticker that blocks part of a page. Other than that is great.

Extremely long book!
I enjoyed the book ; had a hard rd time putting it down. It was presented in an unusual manner. In the end it was a good book!

Book better than movie
This is my favorite movie and I didn't know that it was a book or that it had a sequel. When I found out I figured that the book is better than the movie, and it was no different here. I was interested in the sequel even though I didn't care for Darcy or her side of the story. Frankly, I really disliked Darcy up until the last two chapters of the book. I'll leave it at that 😊

Great read! I definitely recommend it!
Loved these books! I was at first hesitant to read the second book from Darcy's POV when I already loved Rachel, and I also felt a bit scandalous knowing the issues the book is based on morality speaking! In a hard situation all around life gets messy in the story! Both books are an engrossing and addictive read about the journey of personal growth and finding love, loved them both! I definitely recommend!

Frustrating
There aren't very many books that are so bad I can't finish them, this is one of them. The characters are awful, not one redeeming point to either of them. For me this was a waste of time and money

Took a while to care.
I found both of these women unlikable but by the end of the second book, I did tear up. It just goes to show with all of their flaws and misguided reasonings, the author was able to eventually make you care. But for me this was a long slog.

Enjoyed the books
Enjoyed the movie Something Borrowed, so upon reading found that there was a sequel in book form. Found both books as an offer and read them. The book was quite different from the movie but the same idea. Enjoyed the both books a lot more than the movie now.
