I have a Weber 22 kettle that I saved from the curb on trash day, over 15 years ago. It was already old when I found it. I use it for Thanksgiving Turkeys and sometimes steaks, burgers or a roast, but it sits outside neglected year after year. I decided to freshen it up recently so I cleaned it, painted it, and decided to finally replace the ash cleaning star fish thingy. I don't know that its ever worked for me. It was rusted out completely and seized. What I did to remove it, and I recommend, is I took my RotoZip tool with a metal cutter wheel on it and I cut a big X into it right in the middle, and then chiseled it a bit until it fell apart and out of the hole.Then I ordered this replacement piece. It's not as stout as the stock piece I don't think but it installed easy and it looks and works fantastic. It will be really great to have one that works. If it holds up for even 5 years at this price I'll be perfectly happy with it. I think it probably will.

Perfect fit, easy to install, cheap.

My Weber grill was a Christmas gift from my father in 1989, so now (May, 2025) it was time for some refurbishment, including the old One Touch cleaning \ vent system. I'm cheap, and I was also spending almost 70 bucks on a new grate, ash pan and wheels, so rather than drop another 25 on the Weber branded One Touch, I ordered this set for 10 bucks.I'm one of the lucky ones who received all three blades on the first try, so I think they've sorted out their packaging issues. These are a new style compared to my old ones - the old ones had a large hex shaped aluminum block that fit through the three arms and had to be lined up very carefully to get the angles right. This set is designed such that the arms will automatically be at the right angles, and was much easier to install than the old one was to remove. A suggestion - if your grill is not clean, slather it in oven cleaner and let it sit overnight, then either hit it with a pressure washer or wipe it clean, and the old parts will be a lot easier to remove. I still had to use a mallet.The "arms" in this set seem thicker than the old ones. I didn't measure them, and it could be because the old ones have been outside for over 35 years, but it was a bit harder to bend these to fit than it was to snap the old ones off. That's a good thing. Assembly was not difficult, but does require a little effort, and can be awkward if you have short arms. Once installed, they work perfectly, and seal the vents just fine. I'm tempted to buy a second set to keep as a spare, but I'm pretty sure this set will outlive me, so . . .

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Put a set in my performer over a year ago and it worked so good I just bought another for my Master Touch! We use one of our Weber grills 2 to 4 a week 12 months a year and these last as long if not longer than genuine Weber sweeps at less than 1/2 the price. Great product!

Fits and seems to work fine on our trusty old Webber. Our original had a thumb screw type attachment style, which was a pain to remove. But this one went together nice and seems to work perfect for our old unit.The instruction pictures on the box (No printed ones included) did not show the flat washer type piece that goes on the outside and allows the handle to lock into place once it is inserted and the handle and rotated into place. But it wasn't hard to figure out and everything went together pretty well once the old part was removed.

Great product at a reasonable price. Only issue you may have is if you use the QR code on the box it takes you to a video of a girl telling you how to install it. She of course does it wrong. The metal piece that holds the blades goes down through the blades and the hole at the bottom will show the two round ends that the handle goes in. Place the metal cap piece over these with the hole with the key slot towards you. Then insert the handle and turn locking it into the slot. It's very easy if you just think about it before you do it. It will only work one way
