I found this product initially in Asda for 15p....I thought why not! At this price I may as well give this a try.Some seasoned Pork, Beef & one tin of Onions & coconut milk mixed with this paste later the family had a great meal! Enjoyed by everyone I must add! This pastes ingredients are really well balanced and seem to ommit E numbers for whole ingredients. Great product, shame it's so difficult to pick this up in more places.Highly recommend for a mild, delicious curry.May need two tins of coconut milk to tone down the heat.

First heard about this sauce when Jamie Oliver mentioned it in one of his programmes, he sang its praises! i spent months looking for it under the Indian section in the supermarkets, only to finally realise it is Indonesian. Anyway, found this brand on Amazon without any nasties, and gave it a try. It is one of the best sauces my family and I have ever tried, we put it on pretty much everything. Can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s quite warm without being overpowering, but you won’t like it if you don’t like chillis.

I would really have liked to give this 5 stars as the flavour is so delicious, however it is just too hot for me !! Very spicy indeed. I have tried to reduce the amount of paste to 3/4 and add more coconut milk, but it doesn't help a great deal. If you add too much liquid then the dish doesn't thicken as a proper Rendang should. However if you like really spicy dishes, then this is a delicious product.

Super easy to cook with. Help saves time from doing beef rendang from scratch because the ingredients are all in the paste.The taste is amazing too. However, do be careful on the level of spiciness. Do adjust the spiciness with adding more coconut milk

You only need half as much with this paste, tastes good, and it’s economical.

A great and authentic tasting product. You need to add coconut cream though, and to intensify I add extra fresh ginger, chillis and garlic.

Tried today with 0.9kg beef skirt and 700ml water, slow-cooked in a wide pan on the hob. After an hour I tested the flavour and got far too much heat, but little else. We generally eat fairly hot madras, although we don't cook vindaloo. I added a few diced potatoes and a can of chopped tomatoes to mitigate the heat and reduced everything down before adding coconut cream and serving. It was edible, but uninspiring. Tean's rendang paste is a little more costly, but for us it's in an altogether different league to the Ayam.

I love this flavour. Very tasty and delicious. I use a whole jar to cook a tray of drumsticks about one kilo, in a slow cooker. The flavour gets into the meat, yummy
