How long will it last before I must reapply and how many coats do I need to apply?

i would recommend 3 coats for a best result: 1) mix 7parts of water x 1 part of sealer ( part A + part B) - use sponge roller, roll with pushing the sealer to your concrete surface. let it dry over night.While applying the sealer, foam will be produced by the action of the high-density foam roller.DO NOT BE ALARMED, the foam is normal and a good indication that you have enough sealer on the surface.Push all the foam off the concrete surface using heavy pressure on the roller.2) mix 3 pars water x 1 part sealer. apply. when the sealer dries completely, you can apply 3-rd coat3) mix mix 2 pars water x 1 part sealer. apply. Let it dry at least 24 .....

Can I use this on a concrete hearth under a wood burning stove?

Yes. It handles up to 350 degrees F and I believe the floor under stove is cool anyway (ours is and our cat always lays there). But I find best undestructible sealer for concrete is POLYUREA (THE PROFESSIONALS USE IT TO SEAL GARAGE FLOORS).

i have a water based sealer on my concrete. Can i use this on top?

Yes you can put the XS-327 Sealer over the Water Based Sealer you already have on your concrete. We will suggest that you sand down the sealed concrete a bit, clean the surface to make sure all dust is removed before apply a fresh layer of the XS-327 concrete Sealer.

Can i use this on kitchen countertops that are wood and painted with chalk paint?

I would maybe do a poly and then seal with this on wood,,,, same with chalk paint,,, I understand wanting to cover with a food safe sealer.
