Reliable
Got this to help keep water circulated in my aquarium so it runs constantly and works great. Makes zero noise and moves the water well. Love the size too!

Great replacement pump for animal watering fountain.
This is the second pump we have bought to replace the original pump for a watering fountain for our cats. The first replacement was bought over 6 years ago. We barely have to turn the pump knob up past the lowest setting to get good flow without it splashing out. It works very well for a replacement and a lot less in cost than buying a replacement from the water fountain company or a new fountain! I HIGHLY recommend these pumps for replacements. Just make sure you take it completely apart to clean it when you clean the fountain, and check your pump setting before plugging back in. Too high of a setting will make water splash out. FYI: (It can get cat hair inside and get pretty gooped up. For the health of your cat(s), clean it properly. Make sure you take it completely apart to clean it when you clean the fountain, and check your pump setting before plugging back in. Too high of a setting will make water splash out. The back only had one piece to remove, clean, rinse, let dry and replace. The front has3 pieces. The cap, the middle piece which helps keeping the knob from being turned past the high and low positions and the magnetic โfanโ looking piece. I remove all pieces, wash in hot soapy water, dry and reassemble, checking the position of the arrow before reassembling the entire waterbowl.)

Irregular hose not included
Hose not included - Heads up, this pump has an unusual non-standard nozzle that does not match anything in a Home Depot. A 1/4 inch airline is too small but a 3/8 inch hose is too large. It needs a latex hose to be able to stretch over its non-barbed nozzle. I boiled water and melted a hose enough to jam it over the nozzle to be able to use the pump. Functionally it works to pump steady water into my recirculating vase aquarium about 1ft above water level and should have enough power for 2 feet if you're using a 5 gal bucket (next project). I recommend buying a pump that comes with a hose.

Perfect - Pumps up to 1.5 feet height with no problem
Perfect for my indoor water feature. Pumps up to 1.5 feet with no problem. At high power setting it was a little too strong so moved the variable switch to it's lowest setting. At the lowest setting it was too weak to pump up to 1.5 feet so I went up only 1 notch towards higher power and it manages just fine. Plenty of margin to spare if I want/need more power.

No power AVOID
I thought it looked smaller but the price was good. Just tried to install now that it is warming up and this does have any power. I cleared the intake. I turned the dial on the side in every way it would go while underwater. It could not even push water up a foot. Return window is closed hoping to save some of you from this poor product

A Mixed Bag Beneath the Surface
The Uniclife 80 GPH Submersible Water Pump, aye, itโs a wee beast that promises a lot but delivers in fits and starts. On the one hand, it gets the water moving, keeps the little tank or fountain from stagnating, and for that, ye cannae fault it entirely. Itโs compact, easy enough to shove into place, and on the quiet side if yeโre lucky. Butโand thereโs always a butโitโs temperamental. Sometimes it hums along fine, other times it sputters like a drunken Glaswegian on a Friday night. The flow isnโt always consistent, and the longevity of the motor leaves ye wonderinโ how long itโll last before it coughs its last. Three stars, because itโs serviceable for small setups and gets the basic job done, but yeโre takinโ a gamble on reliability. Not a disaster, but not the kind of pump ye brag about either.
