Resident Evil 4 HD Ultimate (PC DVD) (UK Import)

I have played this for many years on the game cube and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I saw this version available I just had to get it. The HD graphics are awesome. This one now has the look and feel of RE 5 (Except the multi player of course) About the only thing that I didn't like was the slow motion aspect in certain areas. I don't want to give anything away, but the added mission is really awesome, especially if you are an avid RE fan. You do have to unlock it though.

I love this game so much and play it lots of times. I enjoy playing this game. Each time I play a round, its like an adventure to survive and not getting killed. I love this game to death! Capcom made a good game to play.

on a respectable windows 7 pc, it can barely run - a slow motion mud wallow. audio is out of sync. a waste of time and money.

This game is a port from a non PC source and so there are issues with the controls. Normally when you play a first person game the character's movement follows the mouse, but in this case it doesn't. I read the reviews of this game and many complained about the controls. There is a fix for the controls but you need to go online to download it to your computer. Being computer illiterate some of the steps were beyond me. I would like to enjoy this game but the simplest of movement is an ordeal when it doesn't follow the mouse. If the company had thought of adapting the controls to the PC things would have been a lot better.

The game itself is fantastic, I'm on chapter 5 now and haven't found a thing that I dislike. There's plenty of exploring/puzzles and whatnot with just the right amount of action. Theres a huge variety of guns to buy, all of them are upgradable and better suited to different scenarios. The map is huge and thoughtfully designed, with a fitting atmosphere as well. On the other hand, it's not like the other games I have. It's becoming the norm now (sadly) but this game is unplayable without an internet connection. Every other game I have, you put the disc in, enter the code, and you're set. With this I had to download a drm client (steam, still not preferable but could be worse), make an account, wait for game updates to download (and they are forced by the way), and then I was finally playing. I found an offline option in steam, which has been helpful for a while but around a week later it started telling me that saved data doesn't exist, odd because no settings have been changed. Switching to online mode fixed this but it looks like I can only play it when I have internet access. If I had to do it again I'd just buy the gamecube version.
