We purchased this voltage converter/voltage transformer because we live in the United States and my wife bought a couple of appliances from South Korea before.You see, everywhere in the United States (and also in Canada, by the way), the voltage coming from our common electric plugs is set at 120 Volts +/- 6%. However, in South Korea, as in most of the rest of the world, that figure is set at somewhere between 200 and 240 Volts. So, the Korean appliances my wife purchased were designed to run optimally with a source providing that amount of voltage. As a consequence, when she plugged these appliances in the wall in our home in Florida to try them out, what happened is that they underperformed so much that she could not use them. What was going on, is that they were getting only the usual 120 Volts +/- 6% U.S. plugs give, which was way less than what these appliances were designed to run well with.This voltage converter/voltage transformer fixed our issue and our appliances are working the way they were built to, now.As in our example, what this product allows you to do is to use optimally in North America, where voltage supply is reduced compared to the rest of the world, appliances, that you purchased outside of the continent and/or were designed to run at more than 200 Volts.And what is best is that it works the other way, too: you can take this product along your devices made for the North American market on a trip to: Europe, for example, and use these devices on the higher voltage plugs present on other continents, without taking any risk stemming from overvoltage that may damage your "American" or "Canadian" possessions.

Perfect for powering an old HVAC blower fan. Most furnace fans run on 220, so this makes it easy to run at full power.The only negative is that it gets HOT! Like burn yourself instantly with just the quickest of touches. If using on a fan, mounting near an intake keeps it nice and cool when it pulls air through it.

I bought this for my new Samsung smart TV, which I sent it to India. There is a voltage difference there compared to U.S. The required voltage there is 220V. After going through so much research I bought this voltage transformer and it solved the purpose. We already used for more than a month and there are no issues. It not only works with the TV, but also with Works great with sewing machine, Massage machine, and Xbox. I agree its heavy but its worth it. It meets my standard and works like a champ.

As the photos indicate, this is a very simple And easy to use unit. It’s easy to change the voltage depending on where you are. It’s a solid cube and it is a little heavy, But that’s a good thing! I have it hooked up to my British guitar amp and will test it for the next 30 days. So far with the power all the way up the transformer has been fine and has not gotten warm.

Since I travelled with it after purchase, it meant a lot about how much it weighs. Anyway, it was about 4.5kg. or 9-10lbs. Very compact, appeared larger in pictures, but glad its very small. I am not disliking the idea of having a small adopter in the back to match the power supply input to what's available in your outlet. So if the voltage you want to convert to your requirement is 120V AC, then select and insert the tiny adopter or a jumper pin into the 120V AC input in the back of the unit. You are good to go to have a 220V AC in the front panel plug.Its simple and built sturdy. Came with four fuses in spare, so I taped them in the back for future use. I have not hooked it up to my washing machine which is the reason for purchase, but too will and advise on abnormal temperature changes if any. The other website sells this same item for at least 7-8 bucks cheaper.

Output voltage in the 110V is 200V!!! it broken the logitech Z263 speakers that I bought with it. I thought it was a problem of the speakers, so I changed the fuse. Second time it completely burned!!! Took the converter to a technician and he said output was 200V, not 110V as expected! Thankfully I haven't connected the TV that I bought at the same time!

Easy to set up has good directions.Not much to do really,has fuse to prevent overload.Just set the pin in the back to your wall voltage,like 110 which is here in U.S. Then plug in your device in the front as needed.I use the 220volt side,visible in the pic at left so it is bumping up the 110 volt coming from the wall to 220volt which I need for my Osram vitalux sunlamp bulb to work properly.I plug my sunlamp in on that right side at the bottom set of holes.Transformer does get warm during operation,but not burning hot.Has red color on/off flip switch as seen in picworks great.

Purchased this transformer because I needed to step the voltage up from 110V to 240v, for some kitchen appliances that I brought over from my home country.The transformer came in a secure well packed box and in perfect working condition.This worked perfectly to get my 240V hotpot cooker working here in the States.It was easy to use, the one button on-off switch was all that was needed to operate the transformer after selecting the correct voltage.The only downside is that the transformer is really heavy and it's not ideal for usage when traveling.Three weeks into using it, the transformer died on me and stopped powering my kitchen appliances. I read the reviews before purchasing and went ahead with this because of the many positive reviews. I guess I must have been unlucky and received a bad one.I'll be returning this product for a refund.

works fine. Powerfull enough for small appliances. Only thing annoying is that it makes small noise you could hear when everything else is turned off around.

Fonctionne mais je l'éteins après chaque utilisation.En effet ce système propose 1500W il ne faut surtout pas aller au dessus de cette puissance.La bobine à l'intérieur se charge à l'allumage on peut entendre un clac.Il y a un bruit pendant le fonctionnement qui n'inspire pas vraiment confiance dans un premier temps.Je l'ai laissé allumé à vide pendant plusieurs jours avant de vraiment le tester avec un appareil (un robot ménager).

Lo probe, y al momento no sabia bien como probarlo, fue algo sencillo, lo conecte ala toma de corriente de 110 V y ala salida de 110 V me dio un valor de 125 V, en la salida de 220 V me dio una lectura de 250 V, según que tipo de voltaje hay en tu pais es como se debe conectar en la parte de atras, el cual tiene un selector para ir variando el voltaje, como en mi caso es un voltaje de 110, ahi lo deje como se muestra en la imagen.

Cumple totalmente con su función, aparte de que es muy práctico, el peso es el que se indica, no fue ninguna sorpresa, los materiales son de buena calidad, si lo recomiendo.
