Nekton-Lori Complete Lory Diet, 500gm

very pricey and my bird didn't like it

We previously used Lory Life Nectar, and had been for over a decade. However, for whatever reason, they stopped making it. I tried a couple other nectars, but my Lorikeet wouldn't touch it. We finally got the Nekton labs. It was one of my last choices because its kind of pricey. But it did the trick. Petey eats it well. It also dissolves in water really well, which I can't say is the case for others. For those who were previously using Lory Life, this one also is 1 part powder to 5 parts water, btw.So if you were like me and were using Lory Life, I suggest giving this one a try.

How I wish I could give this more than two stars. Our rainbow lori just did not care for it. I had no issues with the product just a dislike from our bird.

I have tried a number of less expensive lory diet products, but our blue streaked lory won't touch most of them. One kind she did like separated before she could eat all of it. We've been feeding her people food, but it gets messy, and I worry about getting her the right diet balance, so I ordered this stuff. She loves it. Absolutely loves it. Unlike a previous reviewer claimed, this stuff dissolves easily and completely and doesn't separate. She typically eats 1 scoop of it mixed with 1/3 cup water every day. We are all very pleased (except when I have to pay for it...).

I've been giving this to my Green Naped Lorikeets occasionally over the years, as a substitute for Lory Life Nectar. Mainly as a change of pace, or when Lory Life is out of stock.They seem to be quite fond of the taste. The problem is, it doesn't dissolve properly. We always end up with a bunch of uneaten mush on the bottom of the bowl.I'm glad this product exists, but I wish they would improve it.

My sweet Forstens lorikeet was a long-time ZuPreem Lory Nectar eater.When ZuPreem discontinued the nectar, I had a problem finding a replacement she would eat.She ate Goldenfeast for 2 days & hated Roudybush.Thankfully! She loves Nekton!Her attitude is more mellow (Lori-style, of course) & her feathers are more irideecent.Her playfulness & energy are increased.Great, miraculous stuff! Big kudos to the manufacturers.

My lori has had Nekton as part of her diet for 12 years. She is healthy and still lays eggs!

My Lory loves this nectar! He has been eating this for 1 1/2 years (per the advice of his veterinarian) and although it's hard to find, and somewhat expensive it's worth every penny. I credit this Nectar for his great health and beautiful feathers. Prior to using Nekton Lori his feathers were dull and frazzled, now they are just beautiful! In addition, this food is less messy than all the others we have tried. Highly recommend!!!
