Useful fan with some extra thought put in
Upon receiving my portable fan and doing some checking and testing, I will say that overall I am pleased with my purchase. I will cover a few points here that I hope can be helpful and maybe answer some questions the reader may have. Intended use: I bought this fan to be used during the late spring and summer months in my 4-person Coleman dome tent. I wanted to suspend it from the top center loop that is sewn in place to provide a bit of a relief breeze and to circulate the air a bit (to minimize condensation). Thoughts: First impression was that the fan was of good build quality for the price, in my opinion. We all know these things can be hit or miss, but this one is actually a pretty decent little fan. The most important consideration for most is going to be fan output. I can say itโs a little stronger than I expected, and here is a rough estimate of its reach for those trying to get some kind of idea: Low setting- can be felt at about 2-3 feet Medium setting- can be felt at about 4-5 feet High setting- can be felt at about 6-7 feet By โfeltโ, I mean โstill perceptibleโ... but not โblast your face offโ. Hope that helps. The light is controlled independently of the fan, and has 3 brightness settings. I feel they are about right for the amount of light youโd want in a tent at night. The lights are mounted in a way so that they do not cast shadows when the fan is moving. This could have been a problem if you were camping with pets that like to chase things or that get freaked out easily. The fan holds its position well and it will rotate to pretty much any angle youโd like. The โscent/mosquitoโ pads are a nice little extra touch which I would never have thought of myself. It comes with two of them and only one of them fits in at a time, so you will have one spare. It says they are cotton, but they are more like the texture of a makeup sponge. Thatโs good though, and I expect they would hold up and function better than a cheaper cotton pad. The only issue I could see here would be if you needed to replace them for whatever reason. They are only held in by friction, so youโd have to be creative or use some kind of tape if you wanted to make your own. Not a big deal. The pad sits in a little cutout area directly behind the center of the fan blade (on the backside of the casing) and is easily accessible. The charging cable that came with it is of good quality. You may choose to use your own though, as this one may not be long enough for all uses. Still, USB micro cables are so ubiquitous that this wonโt even matter to most people. So why do I even bring it up then? Well, because I have found that the charging cable included with a device can often be a very subtle indicator of overall product quality. If a device comes with a paper thin, shoddy USB cable, it likely means the company is cutting corners any way they can. Never a good thing when youโre the customer. Pros: - I like that this fan has rechargeable batteries and that it can still run while charging... so you never have to deal with the heat (or darkness) for hours while waiting for it to charge up again. Thatโs a big plus for me. - Quality is good for such a relatively inexpensive fan. Comes with some nice bonus features that many similar fans lack. - Customer service seems to care what we think about their product. I will update my review regarding any personal experience with them. Cons: - Not a true โconโ because of the โuse while rechargingโ feature, but it would have been nice if the fan could use more standard rechargeable batteries like AA or AAA, so that I could immediately swap out a fully charged set. You *could* still do this, because the two included batteries are indeed standardizedโ theyโre just not nearly as easy to find and from what Iโve seen are quite a bit more expensive. Iโm sure there was a reason for this choice, though... and as said, itโs not a concerning issue for 99% of users. Overall, the fan is worth the price in my opinion and I will update my review if anything substantial happens or if my thoughts change throughout its use. Otherwise, you can assume my opinion still stands and this has my stamp of approval.

Really Helpful!
I loved the breeze it created in the tent while camping and falling asleep as the tent always seems to hold its heat in summer. I don't know if my fan was fully charged, but the fan only lasted a few hours and that was on the low setting with no light, so I'm a little skeptical as to the 40+ hours it claims in the pictures. I will be sure to fully charge it before the next camping excursion. Regardless, I would still recommend as the fan and light functionality were ideal for camping. Didn't even realize the foam pads were for mosquito repellent so we will have to give that feature a try next time!

Great Bang for Your Buck!
This fan is great! I took it car camping for 6 months and it worked to keep the air circulating and cool in warmer weather. Additionally, I've been using it almost every night on my 1 year trip to Antarctica where it is good to circulate my humidifier as well as provide much needed white noise. For a $20 fan, I've gotten nearly 2 years worth of use out of it! It packs up light, adjusts well, and I love that there are different settings for both the light and the fan (and they are independent of each other). I hope they bring this one back soon so I can buy another!

Really Works -- Strong and Quiet
I am so glad I bought this. I want to buy another one for a gift. So versatile! Also a safety item during a summer power outage. Taking this outside, it will really help with my mosquito problem since I have a chemical sensitivity. Most importantly, it really blows you away on the strongest setting! Just what the doctor ordered. This unit is compact and robustly constructed. I love that the light intensity is adjustable, also. And quiet! I usually can't stand the sound of buzzing fans when trying to sleep in the night. But this one let me fall asleep, no problem. I woke up hours later and it was blowing just fine. I didn't even have to charge it for the first use. But I charged it fully today, and I'm pretty confident their battery will deliver as advertised.

Light weight and portable
This is a surprisingly useful fan. We took it on our summer camping trip in Utah. It was capable of keeping the air circulating in our tent. The light was definitely bright enough in a dark camping environment. This comes with a small pad that you can soak bug repellent and this helps quite a bit. The power variable and on its lowest setting can last an entire night. This can make a huge difference in having a comfortable night. We are happy with our purchase and definitely recommend this fan for small light weight portable fans.

Worked great.. until charging port broke
This fan worked really well for me while car camping. I used it on a couple trips in the desert. But, unfortunately now the charging port only works if a cable is being bent in one direction which makes it very hard to charge.. Battery life: Okay - will not last a full night so I have had to hook it up to a power bank to have it work for extended periods. It's nice that it can be used while it's charging. Charging: takes a while and the port is vulnerable to breaking Speed: Has 3 modes, the top speed is pretty fast. I generally use the middle.

Great for camping.
Bought this for a camping trip. We were very exvited because if the USB charging feature. After the first night, we realized we would need to have the car on to charge it. It was annoying. I recommend bring a portable charger. Other than that it is bright, can hang inside tent, use fan, light or both at the same time.
