This is a good investment if you have the funds for it, the brightness is way better than other brands, lights up my entire 240 gallon bearded dragons tanks nicely

Alright look. Bottom line…..this is it. If there is anyone out there building a tegu tank or any other giant lizard enclosure just stop looking because this is it. Each jungle dawn fixture has a hook up on it to plug multiple jungle dawn fixtures together and I have NO IDEA why anyone would need more than one. I plugged this thing in not realizing the toggle switch came on the “on” setting and the second i plugged it in I saw God. Lifting my hands up to shield my face I saw the blood and bones in my hand like I was witnessing a hydrogen bomb explosion. Minutes later the local police and a scientist showed up to investigate because someone called in after seeing the perfect white light through the windows saying their neighbor figured out nuclear fission in the basement. After complying with local law enforcement I put the portable sun back in the box until my tegu enclosure is finished. Was delivered super fast and unharmed.

It is SO BRIGHT. My plants seem to love it, and it's really nice to be able to take pictures of my vivarium without much glare on the glass because it's so bright inside. I've been running it for 6 months now and my plants are thriving (some of the shade-loving plants are now hiding behind others, but I can't blame them!).The only thing I really don't like is that the light is too tall to mount inside the tank and instead has to be placed on top. Probably for the best since it gets a bit warm.

This light was a great investment for my bioactive tank! My plants are thriving and growing faster than I expected. Can’t wait to see what it looks like in a couple more weeks. I’ve always been a fan of Arcadia’s products top of the line in my book!

The shipping slapped the label on the retail box and sent it over. The box was beaten to shreds, and I was surprised to find a working light strip inside. Thankfully it worked, be warned, though; the strip can get as hot as 105 degrees F, so if you have a snake that loves to climb your lights, consider mounting it outside the enclosure.

Sold as new; however does not have power cord and was poorly repackaged. Very disappointing!

I installed this light in my 5x2x2' PVC cornsnake enclosure, and it just creates too much heat. I even installed an exhaust fan on my enclosure to vent some of the heat, but still struggled to keep my cool side temps below 80-82⁰F. Without this light installed my cool side stays between 69-74⁰F.
