Il Divo - Encore

This DVD contains an hour-long a documentary filmed by the guys of IL DIVO to introduce them and their music to the public. All four of them talk about each other and their experience before becoming members of the group. They each have an audition story that most watchers of American Idol would be familiar with. Their brush with Simon Cowell is vastly different, however! Only the American, David Miller, even knew who he was! They speak clearly about their ideas and goals for their music. They are also very surprised by the success they were having at this early juncture. Video tracks from their second album are sprinkled in the documentary so there is no need to watch them separately. For those who love track videos there are two of those as well. Each of the guys takes a fictional part to show them coming together and enjoying success. This group has four intelligent, interesting, mature members who happen to be wonderful singers. They should go far together.

I like the added feature of the interview with the four men. They speak about their backgrounds and also of getting the group going. However, I can always do without Simon Cowell even though he is showing restaint. The three classically trained singers obviously know more than he. Also, I wish Carlos would hold back his need to show off his big barritone voice. It does not always blend. It seems, at times, he is trying to out do David, who also has a big voice. Personally, I prefer Urs' lyric tenor voice as it is the purest of the four. If he made an album on his own I'd be the first to buy it.

Ordered this as a gift, and it has been well received. These men have the most perfect voices. Such a shame about the one who passed.

I liked their music because of the great voices and that was the reason why I bought the CD and the DVD. What a delight to find they are a pleasure in the eyes too. The DVD live concert only has 5 songs which last only about 30 minutes or so but the bonus commentaries let you know the story behind IL Divo according to Simon Cowell and the four singers.

I love their music! Their voices blend into one and make the music sound majestic. I am so glad that I found them.

I was disappointed and probably of the minority opinion. There were not many songs performed; therefore, not much work done which makes the dvd not worth buying for the price. The voices were good; however. The baritone, on the other hand, was just fantastic. He has a great vocal range and does not mind sharing it!!!Had I known so few songs were in the performance I would not have purchased.Other grouped tenors of today (voices just as good or better) go far and beyond expectations and give us our money's worth. Maybe for their future concerts they will give us our money's worth?

The documentary with Simon Cowell's experience creating this foursome is an absolutely must for every fan. His ideas andthe discussions by David, Carlos, Seb and Urs brings a new knowledge of the group to fans. They present themselvesas very poised and articulate artists. They are at ease with one another with no egos to confuse their individual talents.I have purchased several of these DVDs and given them to people I'm sure would appreciate their voices and get a newperspective on Mr. Cowell. This is a great video.

This group is a phenomenom. I recently had the pleasure of seeing them at Radio City Music Hall, and they were enthralling. When I saw that a DVD was available, I immediately ordered one for myself and one for my sister. It was a fabulous find, and my husband and myself enjoy watching and listening to them. I must say that Simon Cowell knows his stuff inasmuch as he is the one that put this group together. Long live Il Divo! I look forward to their future CD's & hopefully, DVD's.

Love all of their DVDs and anxiously awaiting their next new one.

インタビューの映像が悪く、コピーを繰り返したのではないかと思えた。また、日本語の字幕も付いていないので、映画を話せない人には淋しいインタビューとなった。コンサートの映像は良かった。クラシックや外国のポップスやアーチストに興味がある人に勧めたい。
