This dust bath is not big enough for a chinchilla — unless it’s a very young or extra small chinchilla. I have a small and large chinchilla — it’s a squeeze even for the small one and in trying to turn around, the bath tips over. Very thin plastic. Great concept but maker should stop marketing for chinchillas or other animals that size or larger. Perhaps think about making a larger one with a heavier/thicker base.

Oh my gosh, this little sand bath is the perfect answer for my hedgieboi! My hedgehog is a bit tubby and he loooooves his sandbaths. Things get quite messy and I was looking for a way to contain his sand. He loves how safe and secure the bath feels and the two-way flap door is something he loves to run in and out of. Plus, it's this adorable bubblegum pink! I will probably buy a couple more to have in between bedding and toy changes. It's easy to clean and put together. Would definitely buy again!

The size of this is perfect for a single chinchilla with no claustrophobia, which is to say that it's rather narrow. The plastic is cheap and thinner than I anticipated. For what I paid I would have expected something much better quality. I wouldn't buy this again.

this works great for my syrian hamster. i fill half of it with sand and the other side of it with bedding. he ends up using the sand side as a potty, and the other side as his bed. it’s cute and convenient! it makes clean up super easy because the poop and soiled, clumped sand is all in one place and scooping once a day it keeps the smell to a minimum :) it keeps the rest of his cage cleaner and when the sand isn’t soiled i think he uses it as a bath, but i haven’t actually seen him do it yet. either way, i’m really happy with the size and the way my hamster uses it. the seller also sent a replacement asap when the first order came with a broken door :)

I purchased this for hamsters, but there is plenty of room for bigger small animals.

This Sand Bath is the Purrfect size for a Syrian Hamster. My Shine has plenty of room to move around and he seems to enjoy digging and playing in there. I removed the door to the opening so that he can get in and out easier and the opening is 3.5" x 3.5" so that is a decent size. I would have given this product 5 Stars but I removed a Star because the dimensions listed are inaccurate. This product measures 8" L x 5.5" W and is about 6" tall. So, I can see why this would be a tight fit for a chinchilla. My favorite feature is that it is covered so the sand does not go all over the place when Shine tosses the sand all around. Bottom line: If you have a Syrian Hamster or even a smaller Hamster, this is a Great product!

Got this for two gerbils - they love it. Best item for their bath available on AMZ.

It does what its supposed to but the only 1 thing is the door doesnt swing effortlessly. I had to take it off because it was freaking out my chinchilla. Otherwise, she loves it so much she wont get out of it
