Even though the round ends are not big enough, the stick is long so does the job really well.

Mine don’t look like that
What seems like a good deal, turned out to be an ok deal. What I got was nowhere near as uniform in color or shape, and the ends were conical, not spherical. It looked like 8 different people attempted to make each of these pegs, and then traded at the last minute to work on one end of their classmate’s peg.Despite being bait and switched, these turned out to work ok on my tabla bayan. I thought they were too thin, but I had to wrest them in because my straps are tight. By slightly alternating them, and keeping them close to the head, I’ve created the pitch I need to have.
