The marketing, packaging, and instructions look great. I was excited to have these as I wear button up shirts at least 6 days a week. The problem is that the top "hockey stick" portion snapped off on 3 of my shirts. I had these professionally tailored at a high end boutique but they do not last. I now have a loose bar floating in my button area that can fall to the bottom of my shirt as the angle portion snapped off at the top of my collar and is still there.I now have 2 shirts that I will either have to deal with the loose bar, or have them tailored again to remove them. I feel I paid for a product to make my shirts more premium, tailored, and professional; and now they are worse than if they were left alone.

Awesome Product! Little pricey
Generally don’t write reviews, but I was skeptical of this product so I thought I’d leave one... bit lengthy so let me start by saying I’m very pleased.Any any given day, I may wear slacks and a button down, a full suit and tie - or the compromise: slacks and a blazer with a button down. I also occasionally wear jeans with a blazer and button down too.One thing that has always driven me crazy is shirts that look good with a tie or look fine without a jacket... but then the collar flops like a wet noodle when you wear it with a jacket and no tie. It looks sloppy and is extremely frustrating.I’m fortunate to have a high end washer and dryer so I rarely take my dress shirts to the dry cleaners. Plus, loading shirts up with ungodly amounts of starch to get the collar stiff is terrible for the shirt and makes them uncomfortable to wear.I recently bought a brand new dress shirt that I thought would look great with a blazer I owned. It had that stiff new shirt feel so I thought I would be fine. Wrong. Collar flopped like so many other shirts and I finally had enough. I had to find a solution. After an extensive internet search, I found Million Dollar Collar. While I liked that it was a normal guy who created/owned it, that also made me a bit nervous. But I read a lot of great reviews from Amazon so I figured I’d give it a try.I ordered a 10 pack and found a local tailor who said they would be willing to do the work. I only tried it with 5 shirts to start in case it didn’t work out well. They charged me $10 a shirt. The results are great. I can’t say enough good things about how my dress shirts now look with a blazer, but no tie. It did EXACTLY what I was hoping it would. So why 4 stars and not 5? To get 10 shirts done cost me around $125. $100 for the tailor + $25 for the collars. This was well worth the money to me, but for some people it could be cost prohibitive. Also, I haven’t had them in long enough to see how they’ll hold up over time in my washer/dryer. Plus, you can feel them and you’ll have to get used to them - especially if you wear the shirt with a tie.But all in all, very minor reasons for 4 versus 5 stars. In my opinion, an excellent buy. If you’re having the same annoying issues I was, it is a great product.

These work great, but they do require a little effort on your part. Installing them requires a seamstress unless you are verygood at seam ripping and sewing.Pros: Work well, hold collar upCons: Requires work to install PRICE....come on guys $50 for 20 of these? I am the estimating the cost to make them at about 50 cents. I understand profit but be reasonable!ADDED NOTE: After sewing these into my collars, they look great. I was ready to buy more. Then I realized all I needed to do was get some fairly stiff/heat resistant plastic and cut my own. I used plastic that was a little stiffer than the originals, sewed them in place and they work just as well, if not better than the originals. The cost for 20 more? About $6.00.

It works but I wish they were cheaper to buy...
I wish that shirts came with this already sewn in already. its a chore to install but they do work. My only complaint is why they cost so much. Common guys, this is a long piece of thin plastic, no need to price gouge.

AWESOME PRODUCT!! Though inconvenient to install.
This is an awesome product. It is inexpensive and EXTREMELY effective in turning an open shirt with a jacket into a SUPER SHARP look. The product makes a huge difference if you hate those dead collars that slump down into your blazer. Once my Million Dollar Collars were installed, my shirts truly had Million Dollar Collars and looked crisp and sharp. The only reason that I did not give this product 5 stars is because the installation is somewhat inconvenient. It requires the use of a sewing machine, or finding a tailor to do it. It is a simple process, and to be fair, the company is upfront and very helpful in providing networks of tailors that do the installation relatively inexpensively, but it is an extra step. I wound up sending 10 shirts to Air Tailors who did the installation for $10.00 per shirt, Since I purchased the stiffeners on Amazon, however, they did offer to do the installation for about $2 more per shirt if I didn't have them, which was convenient.Despite all of that, I still highly recommend these.

Happy with the results. Easier than expected to install.
The idea seemed clever to me. I'm a bigger guy and my collar always ends up spread way out and flat and looks really silly. I like how these held the placket up more upright. I was hoping for just a little more width on them, but overall they worked pretty well.My wife is a terrific amateur seamstress, but she went out of town just as these arrived. What was I to do? I learned to sew!. I used a seam ripper to open a small hole, then used her sewing machine to close the seam and keep it tight. (she has a nice sewing machine with an automatic needle threader that made a huge difference. Either way it was easier than expected for someone who has never sewed before. I'm happy overall and intend to buy more.

Ups your status instantly
I don't get why more men's dress shirts aren't made with these to begin with.I "upped" my husband's look by adding these to his most frequently worn shirts. He says he feels way more confident now during his presentations, and at the end of the day his collar is as fresh as it was when he left the house.A must have for anyone who regularly makes formal presentations or has to look good in company videos.
