A delicious meal with zero effort
My then-husband brought home a box at the start of the COVID panic buying. When I finally used it up, I was amazed to discover the excellent taste. Then... the grocery store stopped carrying it! NO! Thankfully, Amazon had me covered. If you leave in all the oil from the sausage, it tastes as good as any I've had in Southern Louisiana. (Aidells brand andouille turns out way better than Hillshire, IMHO.) As a side note, the spices are well mixed in with the rice. They claim you can make a partial bag this way, and I can see how it might work. So might be a good option for single people or meals for two. I can’t see how some reviewers find it comparable to Zatarain - that tastes single bite spicy to me, just hot without any distinct flavor. This is a world of flavor. Ordering another pack right now!

Very good meal easy to prepare
I just bought my first supply from Amazon. I finished my supply from the store. Since the slight name change (seasoned rice blend) it does taste a little salter but that may have been just that package. I do know this is not an item you can eat if you are on a low salt diet. Thankfully I am not so can enjoy so many foods. I normally use sausage and chicken so the salty taste could have come from the chicken or sausage>!? Either way it is an enjoyable meal. One I will keep getting and making and especially enjoying. Jambalaya Girl's videos are good - I especially like the one with her young son before a Saints game.
