C'mon, its Peanuts!!
Charlie brown: All Tied Up is what you would expect from a Peanuts collection from Charles Schulz. It has been a long time since I have revisited Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang but it immediately felt like home when I started reading them. The perspective we bring to such a long running strip at different points in our lives is part of what makes rereading these strips so much fun. When I was young, I certainly enjoyed them but I probably saw the characters strictly as children, which of course is what they are. Now, many decades later, I appreciate the humor as it relates to being school age but I also see more of the adult themes that kept these strips so vibrant for all ages for so long. This is a wonderful gift for someone too young to have had the pleasure of newspapers and the daily/weekly strips. This is also great for those of us who enjoy the periodic trip down memory lane. One thing I was particularly happy about with this collection is that, unlike seasonally themed collections this one covers all seasons and holidays. I liked not getting into a long group of strips about a specific season or holiday but rather a few then moved on.Highly recommended for old fans and new fans-to-be.Reviewed from a copy made available by the publisher via NetGalley.

Great collection for faithful Peanuts readers -5 OUT OF 5 STARS!
Thank you to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this book in exchange for an honest review.Charles M. Schulz’s Charlie Brown: All Tied Up is a wonderful, funny, and nostalgic full-colour collection filled with the adventures of our favorite Peanuts gang.I had so much fun reading this cute collection! I love Charlie Brown and Snoopy so this book is right up my alley. These funny little comic strips are easy to read, relatable, and filled with great little puns and some lovely moments of insight. I particularly like the sweet little nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout. We follow the gang throughout the year as they have misadventures with class assignments, go on field trips, and try to win their baseball games. Charlie Brown struggles with the kite eating tree, Peppermint Patty has an unexpected romance with Pig-Pen, Lucy keeps trying her best to win Schroeder's heart, and Sally struggles with her homework. However, everyone’s favorite beagle Snoopy has the most adventures: from leading Woodstock and his troupe through some memorable hikes to flying Schroeder to music camp. This is a fun, classic, and quick read. It is a great collection for those of us who are faithful readers of Peanuts. It is also perfect for new readers, especially the younger ones. I definitely recommend this to everyone who is looking for a light and cute but meaningful read!

Another Fun Collection
I think we’ve established by now that whenever I find a new Peanuts collection I’m going to be compelled to tell you all about it. I grew up with these characters, both on screen and in books, and no matter what other comics find their way into my heart there will always be a special peanut shaped space reserved for Charlie Brown and his friends.Eudora, one of my favourite minor characters, returns and this time she’s a student in Sally’s class rather than her summer camp friend. Sally introduces her to Charlie Brown. The other characters are doing what they usually do. Lucy’s presence is a constant irritation to Schroeder, who just wants to be left in peace with his music. Peppermint Patty and Marcie are in class, while Linus is home in bed. Lucy suspects he’s faking his illness.Snoopy antagonises the cat next door and plays hockey with Woodstock. Charlie Brown faces off against the kite eating tree. Lucy sulks and Peppermint Patty acknowledges defeat. I always love comics that focus on Peppermint Patty and in this collection she falls in love! She even gives what may be her best answer in class. For some reason, while I love all of the other characters, I rarely find Snoopy funny. There were a lot of comics of him taking Woodstock and the rest of the troop on hikes and trying to figure out what type of bird Woodstock is. I’d much rather spend more time with the kids.Overall it was still a lot of fun. I’m ready for the next collection now!Thank you so much to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity to read this collection.

Brilliant as ever!
The only difficulty I have with Schulz's work is that there is SO much, available in SO MANY collections - it is hard to know how much any purchase will duplicate what I already have - but hey you can never get too much of his brilliant and observant humour! Sometimes its impact is quite surprising - my journey to becoming a Christian was hugely helped by a book called "The Gospel According To Peanuts"! I may yet fill my bookshelves with hundreds of volumes of the man's vast output!
