Good for night-time leg cramps!
Several years ago, I complained to my MD that night-time leg cramps were waking me up. She looked thoughtful, and said it was a shame the FDA no longer allowed quinine pills, because they worked miracles on exactly that problem...but apparently were strong enough to have some negative side effects. A lightbulb went off over my head, I got some tonic syrup and some Shasta tonic water (make sure it says 'contains genuine quinine!') and added an ounce of tonic syrup to a bottle of tonic water to increase the amount of quinine by a bit, and keep a bottle next to my bed. Placebo effect? Who knows? But if I get a leg cramp, I'll take a couple of good 'chugs', the cramp subsides and I go back to sleep...lots better than 'walking it off', taking a warm bath, massage...and doesn't taste half bad, IMHO!

Appreciated the care and enjoyed the detail
Loved how the company took extra care with an individual bubble packaging especially made for bottles. Very impressed.

Interesting tonic
Bought this to try the icy gin & tonics; ended up liking the flavor for a change from Fever Tree. Pricey, though.

Sweet but good.
Love this mixed with soda water and a little line. A little too sweet for my taste. More like a soda.

Best G&T ever!

Not an all-arounder, but paired with the right gin, it's sublime.
After getting a SodaStream we wanted to make our own tonic water for G&Ts, and this one's tasting reviews sounded like we would like it. The manufacturer says it was designed to pair well with Beefeater, but we didn't have any of that in the houses. So we tried it with Bombay Sapphire (usually our favorite gin) and it was β¦ meh. Kind of watery, sort of dull. But then we tried it with Hendrick's gin, and it was just WOW! It opened up like nothing I've ever tasted--floral and complex and wonderful. It was so much better than routine grocery store tonic water. Clearly the right gin makes a huge difference--not just expensive vs. cheap, but the actual character of the gin is going to make or break this tonic syrup.Upshot: Five stars if you find the right gin for it, two-three if it's mismatched. The manufacturer vouches for Beefeater, we vouch for Hendrick's, but ixnay on Bombay.

Tasty with Soda Stream!
I was actually really happy with the flavour of this tonic syrup! I used it with Bombay gin, and it was great! I agree with the other review that spoke about Hendrick's being a good choice as well. I can see that being even better. I used it along with my soda stream and it was bang on.

Good flavor and decent strength
Enjoying the tonic. Found that half strength is still a pleasant change. Can be a tad sour if you use too much.

NOT Tonic
Doesn't taste ANYTHING like Tonic Water! Very fruity, sweet and flora, no bitterl! Can't even taste my Gin...very disappointed!
