Groot's Arm.
Finally my Groot can be completed! I like that they made a Nova character, but I am disappointed that you had to buy an Iron Man to build Groot. I would have loved for them to sell Groot separately, but what a novel way to get everyone to purchase 6 characters to get the most loved one. This is true to the quality of the other Marvel Universe figures, multiple points of articulation, excellent coloring, overall a great addition piece, but I personally wonder how much use it will really get amongst the other GOTG toys.I tried to buy this after Christmas 2014 and most stores the Groot piece had been stolen out of the box, or the figure was purchased and the Groot arm removed with the toy returned, so this was a safe bet that I would actually receive the arm.

Nova is more than a package with Groot's right arm.
I originally bought Nova to the final piece for Groot. It turns out that Nova is a great figure on his own. He is bright and shiny, and totally different from the rest of the GotG figures in this wave.He does not come with any accessories, which is a bit of a letdown after all of the movie figures coming with lots of stuff. He is a bookend to the Iron Man figure that was also lacking. Not even a change of hands? Ah well, we can't have everything. At least the paint is beautiful and he has the great articulation we are used to from the Legends figures.

A $ minor nitpick would be how incredibly loose poor Nova's joints are rt outta the box
This one is all that a Marvel Legend should be!! Sculpt, articulation, the whole works!! A $ minor nitpick would be how incredibly loose poor Nova's joints are rt outta the box. That's the only bad thing I can say about this gem of a figure. That and the fact that hasbro decided not to tape the boxes again and the right side tabbed door had obviously been opened prior to ship!! I mean c'mon! If you're gonna sell a figure as new then don't open the darn thing!! Very disapointing, wont buy from this seller again. But as far as the actual figure goes you're crazy if you pass on this one! 9.5 out of 10 easily

Tie in Sales. MCU fans forced to buy comic-based figures. Not cool.
Honestly, I had no interest in this figure. I love Marvel and Guardians of the Galaxy, but while I AM a comic reader, I don't often read superhero comics (sometimes; I'm trying to do it more, but not often). I'm a huge superhero fan from other media. When it comes to action figures, I generally only collect the figures based on motion media (film, television, animation). Frankly, they just have waaaay more realism and detail anyway. I LOVE the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I needed this piece of Groot to complete him. While I'm sure this Nova figure is probably a fine figure and fine representation of the version he is supposed to be, I kinda feel I was trapped into buying him, as well as the Galaxy Iron Man figure, due to it being the only way to complete Groot. At the prices these figures run for (when newly released, anyway), it's so not cool. Now, I've gotta find a way to get rid of these two figures I don't want, and I am basically being charged 20 bucks per limb for Groot whenever it's a figure I don't want. What's worse, now they are releasing movie-based build a figure lines in which only one or two of the figures the parts come with are actual movie figures. Guess what this means, Hasbro? It means I'm just not getting any. I'm not buying a ton of figures I don't want at 20 bucks a pop just to build the Hulkbuster Iron Man or Ultron, or Thanos. I'd buy other movie characters for them though. C'mon, just do the logical thing and make the right products for the right audience. If the build-a-figure is a movie character, give us MCU characters. There are plenty of great ones we don't have: Daredevil, Scarlet Witch, TV's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, Falcon, Pepper, Quicksilver, Ant-Man with his mouthpiece on, other Guardians of the Galaxy movie characters, Howard the Duck (heck, I'd even buy an 80's movie Howard the Duck, ha),... you get the idea. Anyway, the Groot figure was excellent when completed, but when you figure it up, the cost was terrible. I mean, when you have to get two figures you don't want, that's like paying 40 bucks for him right there. Kills the charm of a build a figure that is supposed to feel like getting a bonus, bigass figure for free.

Loose Jointed
Nice figure for the most part. Loose joints was a major bummer, some gold dripped to the blue and the shoulder pads are weirdly place on the collar?Nice sculpt overall, Hasbro needs to really improve their quality. The figure plastic feels different almost cheap because of the new plastic Hasbro uses. But even if it feels cheap, it was a nice sculpt, and made me happy for the most part. Maybe the loose joints is nitpicking, but if I'm paying 25 dollars per figure, I expect more. Would have been nice if extra head was included.

Marvel Legends Groot BAF Series Nova Review
-Pros-1-Comes with left arm of Groot.2-The paint is very excellent on this figure. I believe its the same paint from BAF Iron Monger.3-Brand new mold! Except for the feet. (Which are Bucky Captain America feet from the Arnim Zola wave)4-Great articulation! His head doesn't move crazy far up, but you can remove the head and half it on, it says perfectly. Also, his hands are hinged, but don't hinge that far up, and his ankle pivot is being stopped by the flaps on his legs, but that is only on one leg on my figure, It depends, really.-Cons-1- The gold paint could be a little more gold-ish I guess. It took me a while to come up with a con for this figure, it's an amazing figure. Easily, one of the best Marvel Legends EVER made. I highly recommend you pick this figure up! Check eBay first before you buy Amazons prices though. :)

A nicely upgraded figure
This is a great upgrade to a figure initially released as part of the Marvel Legends Nemesis series a few years ago, that in my view left me feeling that it was a rushed production job. With that version of Nova left me feeling sceptical about any new release, I'm happy to say there's no need for concern. Hasbro has done a great job with this upgrade. The new Nova mold reflects the moden version of the character in all his armor clad glory as we first saw him during the Annhilation comics storyline. If you are a fan of the Nova character and you get the chance to pick this up, grab him - you won't be disappointed.

Personaggio OK
