I have attempted instrument sterilization in approved Duralyne nylon pouches (dry heat up to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F and used settings at 100 degrees C to 150 degrees C. I have attached a photo of a nylon pouch heated alone for 12 minutes showing heat damage. I spent 2 hours cleaning off the incinerated melted nylon plastic off number of instruments in the first batch attempt. i soaked them overnight in Hoppes and CLR and WD 40 before dremel use. The function was saved but the steel finish was abraided. One person commented that he sterilized instruments first then put them in the sterilizer bags and sealed them. Am I missing something? The nylon or any bags, do not come sterile, so he was putting the sterile instruments fresh from the oven into non sterile bags and sealing them. I inserted a meat thermometer at 100 degrees C ( 212 degrees F) which registered 152 degrees C (305 degrees F)at 12 minutes, and even with a setting at 125 degrees C (257 degrees F) the temperature on the meat thermometer went to over 204 degrees C ( over 400 degrees F) at 12 minutes. There is clear overheating with this device with all three lamps in place. There is an illustration on the amazon page showing several modes of operation where one or more lamps are in place. I would like the manufacturer to comment on the quality control for temperatures I have detected and whether the device was actually designed for one lamp or two lamps in stead of three. There is no simple way to detach one or more lamps and Iwould like more instructions on how to adjust this device and whether each user must calibrate the settings so that steel can be sterilized and not over heated The nylon bags which are rated for 160C (320F) at 60 minutes or 190c ( 385F) at 12 minutes were decimated at the lower settings on the machine at 100 and 125 degrees with all three lamps!!!!! Instructions on changing modes, how to do it , and even individual calibration are lacking. I therefore give this device a very poor review at this time.

Horrible. Worked less then 3 months
Never buy it. I use it for less then 3 months and even not every day, and it doesn't work already. The timer works only, but heat - non. I'm very disappointed
