Perfect fit for an iPhone 7 plus or XS Max with a slim case - not too snug, not too loose. Clip and loops provide option of just using the clip for quick on/off (or when not wearing a belt) or using both loops and clip for more security with a belt. Having the clip and loops also keeps the case from sliding off your belt when you unfasten the belt and don't think to hold the case. Magnetic closure for flap is secure. Hole in bottom allows you to stick a finger in to help push the phone out of the case. Quality of materials and stitching is good. A hole at the end of the case to allow using the lightning connector while the phone was in the case would have made it perfect, but not enough of an issue to deduct a star.*Update - August 2020: After a year and a half of use, this case is holding up remarkably well.

This case fit my iPhone 8 with a battery pack (which is hard to find one that big) and now my iPhone XR. I like the belt loops better than the clip. For me it seems more secure. But, it has the clip too. It lasts a long time bedsore showing wear. If you go through airport metal detectors take it off. It sets off the detector because of the magnet closing device. Very good value.

I bought this for my new Pixel 3A. I have a case on the phone, and it fits in this holster perfectly. The magnetic catch is quite strong so I'm certain that the phone will not come out, yet it is easy to take it out when I need to. It's much better than the Velco catch that was on the holster for my old phone.

I am very happy with the sturdy, protective nature of this horizontal holster.In particular, it has a 1.5 inch "finger hole" in the bottom that is handy for pushing my iPhone 11 Pro Max up and free from the holster to grasp it with both hands for removal.Running my belt through its belt loops (two leather and one sturdy plastic) takes a bit of patience but hey, it's a $1500 device before trade-In & additions!!!! DEAL WITH IT.What is ESPECIALLY NICE about this HORIZONTAL holster is THE EASE of removal and the fact that the holster does NOT interfere with a seatbelt.Back in my company Blackberry days, I destroyed several VERTICAL holsters dropping into the bucket seats of my sports car (ok, it was a just a Del Sol but it was sporty to me) as the holstered Blackberry impaled itself on the seat belt receptacle. As I used to say back then in DoD, "show me 100 systems integration problems and I'll show you 90 that are dimensional."Finally, let me add: Apple if you're reading; I'll drop you like a HOT POTATO if you try to make me "SUBSCRIBE" to using an iPhone. I still have my old "flip phone" which fit very neatly in a MK 1, Mod 0 pocket and I'll go back to the past before I pay you a monthly fee for using an iPhone, high tech camera be damned. I also still have my Nikons D1, D2, D3 and 3X and will buy a new D5 or D6 in a HEARTBEAT before I pay a "rental fee" to use your gear. You're already trying to hold my images HOSTAGE on iCloud!

It is stiff. Highly recommend a good lathering with saddle soap and replace the filler along with some folded up light weight cardboard used for food packaging. Give it a week. Expansion must be max. My 6 holster was 5 years could have gone more. Great product.

This has been the best holster ive found but that doesn't say much because they only last me a couple of months before they rip at the belt clip. if you want any type of longevity you will need to use a combination of the belt clip and belt loops. which kinda defeats the purpose of having a belt clip. it does fit my iphone 12 ProMax with a thin case well.. and the magnetic flap works good. i need to see if i can find a better brand.. im tired of throwing money away

I've seen some reviews saying this case is too small for an Otterbox Defender, and they are correct. However, it is the perfect size for the Commuter series. Just a little tight at first (but not too much), and now after a couple of months' use it is secure but not difficult at all to remove or replace. The steel belt clip is excellent, unlike the other mall kiosk holders I've been buying for years that hang loose and break all too easily, at twice the cost. This one hold the phone securely, closes securely, stays closed, and stays close to your side so that it doesn't stick out like too many others without the metal clip (it still has two leather loops for horizontal stability). So NO for a Defender but YES DEFINITELY for the Commuter or any other case the same size.

My iPhone 8 fits into this case very nicely. The metal belt clip is designed to be very secure and will not come loose or undone from my belt. There are also two belt loops that are usable if desired. Seems to be well made and easy to use.Great product. Would buy again and recommend.
