Good value. Difficult to remove protective seal.
Good value. Only issue, and the reason I deducted a star, is it was very difficult to remove the protective seal under the lid. Maybe your mileage will vary. This bottle was dated 2000, so hopefully a fresher item might not be as much of a hassle.Once I opened the lid, there was a peal away, foil and plastic barrier to keep the ink fresh. Good idea. I like my 13 year old ink to be fresh. It's similar to the type of seal you might find on vitamins, with a "convenient" pull-flap attached to the foil. The theory behind these seals is you're supposed to be able to pull on this flap and it will bring up the foil easily. In practice, they almost always tear off and leave you digging at the foil trying to get a corner so you can remove it. At least with vitamins you can just poke through with something sharp and carve away the seal. Not so much with this. The applicator surface is a porous dense material. Basically it's flat to the plastic edge of the top of the bottle, and with a light squeeze it dispenses ink in a controlled flow. Honestly I'd anticipated a raised, spongy material. Trying to get the foil seal off, and expose the applicator, I feared digging at it too much. Ultimately I scraped most of it away with a pair of cuticle scissors, and lifted the bits off with my fingertips. It was a bit messy, and not quite what I expected, but in the long run the item works. I use it to refill the trays in a variety of Custom Self-Inking Rubber Stamps that I have, similar to this , and the ink quality seems fine.

Stamp pad like new within 5 minutes
I just opened this product - I had read multiple negative reviews about it but ordered it anyway. It was not hard to open if you are careful. I got a tiny bit of ink on my thumb but could have avoided any ink if I wore gloves. I fixed my self-inking personalized stamp within minutes - just squeeze the bottle and some ink appears at the top of the sponge. A few dabs onto the ink pad and my stamp works as good as new. I even changed my stamp color from blue to black and it works great so far. There is enough ink in the bottle to do that probably 30 more times. As stated, I just got it so I'm not sure about the longevity of the ink, but certainly there is enough ink in the bottle to last a long while, even if the stamp pad itself dries more quickly. I definitely recommend this product for an outstanding price!

Inky Mess
The ink bottle was sealed in a plastic bag. It's a good thing because it was leaking. The lid was loose! How could it be loose? Wouldn't you think that the packer would tighten the seal? Then there is a safety seal under the lid. It was leaking, so it's not effective. So I put on rubber gloves and clean up the bottle and try not to make a big ink mess on my desk. The safety seal wouldn't come off. I had to use a small screwdriver to get it off. After the 20 minute cleanup, it did work well to get ink into my stamp pad. While it was a pita, for $2.40 a bottle it is a bargain.

It's been a real mess.
This inker has been a real pain. It constantly leaks and gets all over everything I set it on. I finally set it in a glass jar to contain the ink when it oozes out through the cap while just sitting in the drawer. Whenever I use it my hands get all inky. Will never purchase it again.

INk Blot
Upon Recieving, I am not sure if the lid was not screwed on tight enough or if it was due to packaging, there was only one bottle that had leaked. Other than that order was received in a timely manner.

Economical ink
Its just ink and it does the job at a really low price. Read all the reviews about how hard it is to get the seal off. While I do agree it does not peel off easily with the pull tab, if you just pull slowly until some part of the foil breaks away from the edge and work that part around to slowly remove it comes off easily. Just don't grab and yank on the pull tab. The hard sponge on the top makes dispensing the ink easy. No issues with me .

Intended usage
I bought this to refill my “identity protection” stamp. I was able to do so easily and on I went stamping. My issue is not with the ink but I think these stamp gobble up ink or I need a different ink designed for that use because it feels like I am constantly filling it now every couple of days. I have a lot of junk mail :< so this product IMO works as IT is intended but consider YOUR usage situation. TTFA

Hard to open but good ink!
I used to buy this ink quite often before and always had trouble getting the plastic off when you use it for the first time! It seems like they tried fixing that issue by adding a pull tab but the tab kept ripping and didn’t really help much in the end. Otherwise, great ink! Easy to use but it is a bit messy if you don’t wear gloves.

I don't like the sponge on the end
I don't like the sponge on the end. It is hard to get the right amount of ink on, either to much or not enough.
