This product is good value but not quite as dog proof as stated. We cut it up into three equal lengths with a view to having the ability to wash one, keep one clean and have one in use. Our two labrador pups really love sleeping on it but also proceeded to rip it up into smaller pieces. They still sleep on it quite happily except that they can now re-arrange the bits to suit their sleeping arrangements!! It has destroyed our one in the wash, one clean and one in use practice though.

My dogs love it, bought them after seeing our vets use them! I have three dogs - a large, white German Shepherd, and two small Bichon Frise crosses (one with a Poodle, the other Shih Tzu) and they're constantly sleeping on them. Due to the size we have cut some down and placed them at common placed in the house our dog likes to lay, one of the cuts is cable-tied onto a raised dog bed that the dogs love the roll in now, another is placed in the corner of our dining room where the dogs lay during our dinner, and the final cut is left as a spare when one of the others is being cleaned.In addition, we have also stretched a whole one across the floor of the boot in our car for when the German Shepherd is laid in there during vet visits or excursions.And to make it even better, the fluff is pretty durable and we've set to find loose bits on the floor despite one dogs digging efforts.Would definitely recommend this to any dog owner.

The product came the next day once it had been dispatched, but took 3 days to despatch. Bought it for my 4 month old lab as he was outgrowing his old bed that we got from the pet shop. I like the idea of cutting the bed to size to make full use of the size of his crate. Also I have plenty left to carpet the back of the car and have a spare patch for work or to use while his normal one is being washed.If you are buying this to put on any smooth surface such as a dog crate or laminate floor, you will also need to buy some non slip matting or this stuff will slide without resistance. Designing this with some rubber dots on the bottom like you see with those cotton gloves for grip would have got an extra star for this item. Also, some have praised this for being indestructible to a dog - whilst the backing seems quite robust, our dog finds it quite easy to pull out the fibres.I was also hoping our dog would love this bedding, as so many reviewers said their dog loved the vet bed, but unfortunately he tends to scrape it away as if digging then pushes it to one end of the crate so he can sleep on the blanket underneath (we put the blanket down to provide some friction, because otherwise he slides everywhere when going in or out of his crate).I can see that for some this would be a great purchase, but so far I'm regretting not just buying a conventional basket based bed.

Having struggled for 18 months to find suitable bedding that my 20 month old pup ( he won't mature until he is about 12 years!!!) cannot destroy in 10 seconds flat I have at last found the answer! He does pull and chew at it ( he's doing it as i write!!) but he has been unable to destroy it. This is the second lot I have bought him so we have several lengths of it recycling through the wash! It is not only Monty proof but it also washes up like new. BUT! if your dog is a bed eater and you go for vet bedding make sure it is this green backed stuff. I did buy him some camouflage vet bedding with a rubberised backing and he was through that in minutes. For some reason the green backed stuff is Monty proof! (and he uses it as a comforter too!)

Ordered on the 16th, arrived on the 20th- 6 days before the expected delivery date thanks to prompt delivery service. Very well packaged, in a cardboard box. Had to buy vet bedding for my puppy who shreds everything else and chews plastic baskets! She was very familiar to the vet bed as her breeder used it as a warm, comfortable bedding for the puppies. However, it is not just for puppies- my friends dog had vet bed all his life. It comes in a wide range of colours, so you can choose a colour to suit your style or match your room, which is great! This vet bedding is the real stuff, as you can see from the green backing. It feels quality material and can be washed, the roll was also bigger than I expected so it is sure to last ages! Fantastic quality for money.

I can't see how something genuine and washing instructions say can wash on a 40 degrees, I washed on 30 and dried on the line and it's struck. How rubbish doesn't even fit my whelping box anymore!!!!
