The TMB-55 Wood Handle Timber Jack is a great tool for lifting logs off the ground and will help to keep your chain from digging into the ground.

Not sure what everyone else was doing. Changed the game for me.
Ok. I bought this despite the reviews because I needed it fast (gotta love prime shipping). With all the negatives about snapped handles and bent steel I was a little concerned with how much work it could really handle. My concerns were completely invalid. I used this timber jack to buck up a downed elm tree today. Over 7 hours, and lifting logs well over 20 inches and ten feet long, it never failed. Never even flinched. I started small and cautious because of all the bad experience here, but by the end of the day. We were putting it on logs that were supposed to be to much just to see if it would work. It sure did. Amazing tool. Not sure how I worked up fire wood without it before. My one question is, what were all the negative retires trying to do? If you are trying to lift a full length downed green tree, I’m sure it will break. But if you are working normal truck length logs, and take your time to let physics do the work, it’s amazing.

Well Built Works As Intended
I’ve read all the complaints and if people don’t know how to use this tool properly and find problem with it they shouldn’t be using a chainsaw.

Will save your chain
It works pretty good. Would give it 5 stars if the T bar was a few inches shorter. A shorter t-bar would allow for more leverage and it would still be off the ground to saw. Heavy duty wood handle

Reasonable product, not entirely like the photo.
I did break the handle, but it did not go easily, and I got some good use out of it before it went. The handle was made of some crazy-grained wood no one here could recognize, else it might have lasted longer. I'm fitting a straight-grained hickory handle to it now. The metal parts are fine, and the paint finish was good before I burned the broken bit of handle out of the socket. The handle was also not shaped like the one illustrated; it was just a fat dowel, tapered at one end to fit the socket. I could have bought a metal-handled cant dog cheaper if I wanted ugly. I had already decided to replace the handle before it broke!

Works as advertised.
I tried it on a 20”x20’ eucalyptus. I grabbed 5’ sections at a time. Did not want to over stress it. Worked great with chainsaw.

Just like the old days in the saw mill.
WARNING: Before you grab this thing make sure your wearing your big girl panties and sturdy foot wear. Not for folks that sit around and watch Brady Bunch reruns.. Just as advertised. Fast shipping.

Handle is too large in diameter at user end
Handle diameter is the same top to bottom. Hence it far too large where hands go to use with ease. Unless you are Andre the giant the handle requires two hands to properly use it.

Absolute must have for moving or lifting big logs
Extra heavy duty handle and construction make this strong enough to move big logs easily. Well worth the cost effective price.

Indispensable.
Travaille très bien même indispensable pour sauver la chaîne d'une chainsaw et aider mon dos. Fait fort mais le crochet pourrait être plus serré sur son pivot, je l'ai amélioré avec de gros washer utilisés comme spacers.

Not effective
Doesn't work well, doesn't grab log. I've used a different make before, and it worked very well. The Timber Tuff won't grab logs large or small, the hook just slips, the orientation doesn't seem right.

Great help with cutting fire, but double check price
The product pretty good for the price, I’ll use it a lot and will probably rebuilding it ever other season from overuse. Also Was disappointed to see Almost identical products in a local flyer for half the price.

Slightly small
What size logs do you need this for? The ones it can barely grip! It would be better with a slightly different angle on the tooth. Perhaps the engineers should try their design before it goes into production next time.

Garbage.
Used it a handful of times. Then, one of my logs slipped a little sideways, and the hook bent all to hell. Unusable now. Garbage.
