Let me start by saying I purchased Maca root after someone suggested it to me for a hormonal imbalance I've been struggling with for a while. For the past decade almost non stop I was either pregnant or breastfeeding without breaks and didn't have a period for most of that time. Now they are irregular, I get Mood swings and suffer from anxiety. I will wake up around 1 or 2 am and struggle to go back to sleep.Want to see if this works for my sleeping problems and mood swings. I will come back with an update.*UPDATE* - Just completed week 1. I'm on day 8 and woke up today with prickly rach on my face and as the day progressed it started burning. Not sure if this has anything to do with Maca. I will continue to use it and see if this subsides. Apart from that, I see improvement in my mood and energy levels.*Update. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks. Rash on my face is disappearing, but so is the extra energy. Today energy feels the way it used to before I started taking Maca... I sleep better, though. I still wake up at night but no longer struggle to bo back to sleep.I will come back in 2 weeks hopefully with some more positive changes.

Very potent and high quality Maca root. Took for a month in order to boost energy and mental function - kicked in quickly, however, noticed it affected my already very regular monthly cycle (no chance of pregnancy, no use of bc or any other changes but introduction of maca).Had to stop use as I was freaked out but may use a lower dosage in future. Please be informed of effect this herb can have on hormones before use.

It's no exaggeration to say that this stuff has improved my quality of life. Assuming I get a good night's sleep (as no supplement will ever replace the importance of rest), this gives me an incredible amount of long-lasting energy. Since so many others had good results I'd recommend buying just to trial, since this is cheaper than many other supplements out there.My only complaint is that I experienced interrupted sleep the first few nights of trying this, but I'm a poor sleeper to begin with so shouldn't be an issue for others.

Tasteless and easy to take. No horrible after taste or flavour repeating. No noticeable effect but no negative effects either.

I have been taking 5HPT for 5 weeks now and can honestly say that the frequent anxiety attacks definitely improved. The frequent 'waking up with anxiety for no reason at all' also subsided. After 2 weeks of taking one every morning my anxiety had improved enormously with only very mild symptoms now and again.So at 2 weeks in, I also ordered Vitabrite High Strength Maca Root with black pepper as reviews also said it was good for anxiety.So I am now 5 weeks in (5 weeks with 5HTP + 3 weeks with Maca Root) taking one tablet of each every morning. My anxiety has now completely gone. I dont know if I had continued with 5HTP alone, or if I took Maca Root alone if my anxiety would have continued to improve, but it certainly had a good effect. Makes me wonder about the anti depressants that I have been taking for years from the doctor. Maybe time to ween myself off these with medical guidance and just stick with 5HTP + Maca Root.I will definitely continue to take 5HTP + Maca Root and will order more when they run out.Wish I had found this years ago.

Seens to have an effect on a positive energy boost taken alongside Sports Vitamins, and no side effects which is great.

Plenty of capsules way more for your money rather than holland and barett or myprotein etc. Feel like it gives me an energy boost and supports a healthy diet.
