DELTA FAUCET 75532COB Porter 3-Setting Hand Shower Handshower, Oil Bronze

I had a Delta hand held faucet in our shower which lasted two years before it broke. I never did understand why it broke down, but i had removed the flow gizmo when i bought it to increase our water pressure and it worked very well for a 1.7GPM shower head after i "modified" it. Anyway the exact replacement was no longer available from Delta so after extensive research I bought this model which was very similar in style to the last one. The big difference in this one is that it has a 2.5 GPM flow rate so when i installed it, i was able to get much better water pressure than i had from the last one until i removed the flow restrictor.Although i dont have the amount of pressure i would definitely get if i removed the flow restrictor from this one, it is good enough that im going to just use it as it came from the factory for now. I thought the price of this model was also good compared to many of the other brands and models i looked at before buying this one. It seems that models of hand held units in venetian bronze are not as plentiful as they used to be and i looked all over the net plus went to two big box stores to find what i wanted.Overall, after about 2 months of use my wife and i are very happy with this product.

We replaced the other Delta shower that was very similar. So far we are satisfied with this one. Although it is plastic, the hose lays fine. It functions well and the price fits the product. Time will tell.

There is a blue flow restrictor (for Delta to claim code compliance) in the base of the handle. Take needlenose pliers and rip that guy out. Now, your shower head screams with showeredness. yuwelcom.

Overall the Delta 75532COB is a nice shower head. The whole unit is 100% plastic, for this price I would have expected a metal head. The negative is the attached hose. Because it's made of plastic, it is too stiff, so the hose snakes around and sticks out from the wall about 8" when the shower head is hanging back in place. I will be looking to replace the hose soon.

The way the hose hung looked cheap. I replaced the plastic hose with a metal one.

I would have rated this higher, I like the shower head. It works well, easy to adjust, seems durable, etc. However, the hose that is attached puts out a strong chemical smell when hot water is running through it, so much so that I had to replace the hose. Maybe it would eventually get better, but I'm not willing to put up with it while hoping for that. Having to replace the hose certainly reduces the value for the money.

What I really liked is that it was easy to install myself being female and 70 years old. For once I did not have to pay someone to do the job.

The description says "Oil Rubbed Bronze". The material is listed as rubber. The showerhead does have rubber pips for easy cleaning. The body of the showerhead and the handle are lightweight plastic painted to look like oil rubbed bronze. As far as I can tell, there is no metal of any sort anywhere in this showerhead.Very disappointed in this product.
