KnorrPatak's Madras Ready to Use Sauce, 2.2 Litre

Fabulous for bulk catering, works out much cheaper than buying the small jars, and , for me, I find the flavour in the catering size, nicer than the smaller jars

I blend this when I cook,its a decent base and add some chicken stock for flavour,once I have added my extra ingredients it will make about 8 portions.

This is a real tasty curry sauce and is so easy to prepare.Will defo get again

The madras curry paste is phenomenal, all of my family who have tasted this think it's the best curry they have ever tasted next to takeaway curries.I use half a tub or 600 grams to batch cook my curries for the freezer and using medium aluminium takeaway containers I manage to fill 26 at a time with my big pot...The depth of flavour is so good I could eat it every day and not get tired of it...

Had balti. Madras. And jalfrezi. The best sauces by far. As near resturant quality as i have ever had.

I remember someone wrote a book about fishing entitled “Total Carp”. Always amused me. Well, now Knorr can use the same letters slightly re-arranged to describe this sauce. It’s a shame because Pataks make some decent curry pastes which with a little care can be turned into a decent curry. By contrast all this stuff can be turned into is the nearest bin!

One star is generous for this culinary disaster of a so called madras curry sauce, I wouldn't burden a food bank with this horror of epic proportions, in the bin 2.2litres of garbage. I have no idea what sort of curries other reviewers have had to compare with this muck, but all I can say is that they have been badly let down by whoever made them.

Bought this curry sauce to save on shopping trips. I thought it would be the same product as in the smaller shop jars.When I tasted this sauce it clearly was not the same product, in fact it is far superior. Really tasty and authentic.It is quite a large quantity to use in one go, so split down into portion sizes and freeze them.I highly recommend this sauce, delicious. Be warned, it is quite spicy hot if you are not a regular curry eater.
