This is no different than any other standard after shave there is no cooling effect other than alcohol evaporating. My face is irritated after I shave and I have been looking for something to soothe my skin after I shave. I hoped this had some actual cooling effect but it just isn't there. 3 stars because it does smell nice but I am disappointed with this after shave. I won't waste any more money on Mary Kay products.
