Hleeduo Gold Plating 18 Note Musical Movement---different Tunes Available (Tune Is Lilium From Elfen Lied)

One did not work!

I really really liked the anime "Elfen Lied", so when I heard that it was also in my girlfriend's top five favorites, I decided to give her a souvenir from the show. Some original replicas online priced up to $1000.00. I AIN'T GOT THAT KIND OF MONEY TO PUT OUT LIKE THAT!!!! I'm very crafty so making the box was no task at all (I even had a gold plate engraved with her name on it, made it myself). I had placed the order for the music trinket way before I started working on the actual box so I had some time to work on it. The box looked awesome already but the final piece to it the music trinket made the box absolutely perfect. Obviously, it's only 18 notes so it only plays the first stanza of the song over and over again, nevertheless it is the familiar tune and in the original key which is a significant thing for me because I like things in their originality. Not to mention that it all costed me less than $14. Hope this review helps and gives you ideas how to be creative, frugal, and better.P.S. My girlfriend was blown away by the box's exactness and quality, and couldn't believe that it was custom made by yours truly.

I'm cosplaying as Lucy in the last outfit she's seen in, in the anime Elfen Lied. I thought about buying a lilium music box online, but they're ridiculously expensive... so I bought this ^_^ I expected it to come with a plastic covering or some kind of protection over it, but it didn't. I realize it's my own fault for not looking at the details (and the picture clearly shows it's just the gold music part lol x_x) but other than that, I'm really happy with it! It plays 18 notes of the beautiful song Lilium, and I've had no problems with it so far. I'm excited to make the music box! Definitely worth the money.

It's only a music box mechanism, so you can't expect stereo sound and the entire song from it. I think they could have done just a little better with the rhythm of the song, but the notes are correct. I'm not blown away but for the small amount they charge I'm satisfied.

It came in good condition and with all the screws I needed to attach it to a box. Wish it went a few more notes in but you'd need a bigger wheel so that can't be helped.

I really liked it initially but I realized that it would pause for no reason until I pushed it a bit. I then looked and found that a part of the big gear teeth were bent, and it doesn't work correctly. I really love the sound and the quality, but it isn't functioning properly as it, I would like a refund or replacement.

I love this song so much, but the tempo on the music box that I got was about 5 clicks too fast and it bothers me so much, but I'll deal with it.

The song is tugs on your heart strings, especially when in music box form. The only drawback is that, the further I wind it back, the faster the tune goes slowing down as it stops.

The music box has screws so you can attach it to anything you want. The song isn't full but that was expected.
