Works perfectly
I bought this as a replacement to another replacement cord that sucked. Now I know why I have to go with the original manufacture, because a lot of these other cords don’t last, this one does. The quality is impeccable, it’s very durable and the sound quality is perfect. It is the perfect length And I feel like it will last probably even longer than the OEM part. The in-line switch does accidentally get muted sometimes so make sure it is not before freaking out

Works as advertised. My original Astro A40 TR mic cord was a button and this is a push switch. My original mic cord also turned the lights on my mixamp red to indicate muted, but this one does not which is a bummer. Product seems overprice and the is nothing special as far as quality of material.

Work great
These are exactly what I was looking for. I never had the original cord so I can't compare them to it but I did order the a50 cord by mistake and in order to mute my mic I would have to hold the button which is not what I was looking for. So I found these and got them. The mute switch does work and keeps it muted and also gives the indication when it's muted by turning the lights red on mixamp. Some reviews on here say it doesn't turn theirs red but it definitely does with mine. Definitely overpriced as the ones on Astros page say $9.99 but they are unavailable. I would definitely order more if need be. The only thing I don't like is in order to mute it you have to slide the piece as opposed to just clicking it. Not sure how the originals work. Hopefully that slide piece holds up

You can set the controller on the ground and stand up
I have a set of A40’s I built 10 years ago from used parts. This cable was a great replacement for the temporary mute cable I use to have. The cord length took some getting use to since I use a ps5 controller. I suppose if you drop your controller you never have to worry about your headset being ripped of your head.
