Excellent.

Very disappointing, used stones bought from national geographic and the supplied extra powders, followed the instructions and after over a month smooth but dull stones. Double checked for small pieces that might be causing damage cleaned everything and did the whole process from start to finish again, another month plus later, still dull. Checked on line said it might be hard water, got some demineralised water and just ran the polishing process, it has taken 6 weeks of constant polishing to achieve a slight sheen on some of the stones whilst a small number are still dull. Very disappointing. Been packed in the loft likely to never come out again, money wasted should have just bought some polished stones.

The refill was mostly very small chips. So on this I would not recomend ordering refill rocks.

really disappointing. The rocks if you can call them rocks were so small there's nothing there you can tumble looks like someone smashed them all up with a hammer and scooped the bits up and put them in a bag. Don't waste your money buying this.

The rocks are very very rough to start with and.many disintegrate to gravel during stage 1. Others have such deep striations that it would takes years to get them to a state when they could be polished. Quite a disappointment for a Nat. Geographic product.

Such a lovely set. Bought my daughter these to go along with her new Nat Geo Pro rock tumbler. It's great value for money. Plenty of different rocks and petrified wood that will keep her tumbling for a long time. Great variety too. Highly recommended

I inherited my dads rock tumbler and wanted to take it for a spin. After doing a little research, I discovered that grit can be expensive as you need 4 different types to have a successful tumble. This kit has everything you need from start to finish. Admittedly, as a rock hound, I felt like a bit of a cheater ordering 5 lbs of rock online from National Geographic. As the days go by though, I grow more and more excited to see the transformation. In my opinion, this kit is a great value for what you receive. If you are looking for a starter kit, this is definately the one for you! I will definately be ordering this one again because it has a terrific selection of specimens. Happy Hounding!
