Ashford & Brooks Women's Flannel Plaid Long Sleeve Nightgown Sleepwear

I got this nightgown because I thought that paying a bit more I'd get a quality garment. Not so! I tried it on and it seemed okay but I wasn't thrilled with it. The flannel material is thin and not soft. But, who cares as long as it is comfortable. So, I decided to keep it and washed it so I could wear it. Big mistake!!! I put it on and it was WAY TOO SMALL! I wear a size 10 so bought the medium. The sleeves are so tight I can't move my arms! Not good for sleeping.So, I wanted to return it. I got the return authorization and read the fine print. It must be in "new condition" and in the original wrappers. Of course, I had to take off the tags to wash it. I wrote to the company to see if they would take back a new but washed item. They didn't respond other than a robo-email saying they'd got my message.Now I am stuck with a nightie I can't wear but I won't send it back because the fine print says they won't give me my money back.UPDATE: Got an email from Caasual 21 and confirmed they won't refund my money. I told them that was bad business to not stand behind their product defects. You have to wash clothes and you don't expect them to shrink so much.This seals it for me.....no more clothes from Amazon sellers!

A mixed experience. I normally wear an XL, so that is what I got. There is plenty of room throughout the body of the gown. The neckline is lovely. That is the good part, size-wise. Now for the bad part: This is the first nightgown that I have ever purchased/ worn in my life that has tapered sleeves, as if your arm is in a tight, skinnyjean. I do not have overly large arms. Honestly, this is the first time I have ever had a truly binding experience in the sleeve, particularly at the elbow, which makes it hard to bend the elbow. It tapers right down to the wrist, so there is no comfort, and the fabric does not give. I took it off in the middle of the night, it was so uncomfortable. I will be washing it and giving it away to some unlucky person through a donation center. The colors and fabric are great, but the sleeves, of all things, make it impossible to sleep.

I ordered 2 of these for winter. One in red and one in blue. I loved the description that they had pockets. They do but unfortunately both gowns had holes in the pockets from workmanship errors. I decided to keep them and they both came through the wash just fine. I decided to repair the pockets, rather then return them. (Less trouble). I would recommend these gowns for warmth and comfort but give less of a vote for workmanship.

I love most of this item but find the bunching along the back from shoulder-to-shoulder a tiny bit irritating. A couple of washings has helped but I recommend leaving out the extra stitching for a straight line on any future design. I know for a few people (like my sister) this would be a deal breaker. Not a big issues for me but the pockets are a bit low for my arms and I'm just under 6' tall. For a shorter person this might cause a problem. Otherwise it wears great, is quite soft and warm enough.

I purchased these for my elderly grandmother who is both very cold and has sensitive skin. Alot of these on the market are synthetic material and easily irritate the skin. These were appealing having a longer gown length and long sleeves as well. She is a textbook XL and these fit like a glove. My only complaint is the price is ludicrous even factoring in the quality.

I love PJ's and I love plaids. I bought 24 nightgowns as gifts and for myself. I bought plaid LL Bean and other high end nightgowns and this is by far my favorite. The plaid, the style, the comfort the feminine and modest fit! This is a great nightgown!

Unfortunately I was not happy with this gown. Because I do not have a thyroid and it is difficult for me to controlmy body temperature, this gown got way too hot for me and I had to give it away. If you like being comfy andwarm, then this gown is for you. The fabric was too heavy for me.

Love this luxurious flannel nightgown! It was even better than I thought it would be! I hadn’t heard of the name before but liked the description a lot so I gave it a try! Was I pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend it and plan to buy another for my twin sister soon!
