A uniquely scented soap from Spain
I grew up in Spain and have always loved this soap. It has a fresh, clean scent and is a well made, fine milled soap, meaning it is very long-lasting. It's hard to describe this scent, as I've know idea what exactly is in it, but it's a light, natural scent, reminiscent of the fields it is named for. Heno means hay in Spanish and Pravia is the town where it was first made, over 100 years ago. It is a staple in Spain and was thrilled to find it here for a reasonable price. They now make shower gel and some other things too. If you like natural scents and the European type of soap, I highly recommend. The three bars together make a nice gift, too.

Awesome soap.
Love this soap. Originally used in Spain so glad we can buy it here in the states. The scent is fresh and makes the bathroom smell great.

Lathers well and that mysteriously addictive aroma...
This was my first time trying this soap and found it to be a terrific, if somewhat expensive, indulgence. Heno De Pravia is made in Mexico from a Spanish formula. The soap has a nice, pale-green color, almost the same as the inside of an avocado. Lathers nicely and it gets you super clean. But that magical aroma...so many others have mentioned but not described it. Because it's hard to do. If you've ever smelled a bar of Ivory, the white bar soap that floats, it's sort of like that only more intense. Just a pure, 'clean' smell. For me, it brings back memories of childhood and the way American-made soaps USED to smell...before the manufacturers began loading up their soaps with fragrances, dyes, perfumes and Heaven knows what else. I have no problem with most of these...I love Coast and Irish Spring, both of which are notoriously fragrance-heavy. But Heno is in a class by itself. It just smells....GOOD!!

Old time fav
I’m glad I was able to buy online, although I’ve noticed it doesn’t smell as good as it used to be.

Smells Clean
My neighbor is from Spain and brought some soap back on her last visit. She let me smell the ones she brought and I liked this scent the best. Rather than have a perfume-type odor this soap smells CLEAN, and unlike other soaps, this one also leaves its scent in the bathroom for some time after bathing. I'm not sure why but the soap from Spain seemed to have a longer-lasting scent than the one from Amazon.
