Great substitute for ketchup, even if it tastes nothing like ketchup
You can't expect it to taste or pour exactly like ketchup. It is runny and tart and it has an odd beet reddish-purple color. That being said, I am really enjoying it as a condiment. It adds a fun zing to food and it is a suitable substitute for ketchup. I have nightshade allergies and I am happy to find something I can use like ketchup, even if the flavor is different. This product is well made and it came with great nutritional information and a business card to contact the maker. Great quality. Great service.

Good, but lacked pizazz
I decided to try this product after using another one from another company fairly consistently. This one is made in the U.S. and slightly cheaper, and the other one I tried had "spices" listed in the ingredients and I was worried that it might contain some night-shades and was irritating my psoriasis. I didn't realize that this one is packaged in plastic, and I'm really trying to get away from that and switched over to glass (the other one I used is in a glass bottle). This one seems a bit more runny and really there's not a lot of flavor to me, but the beet comes through over anything else and that's fine. I add a little bit to recipes that call for tomato paste, or anything tomato, and my family hasn't refused to anything yet, lol. I also used some on the side of my Christmas ham. I'd buy it again because there really are no other affordable options outside of making my own if I'm up to it.

Delicious and convenient
For anyone who has a nightshade allergy but wants ketchup, look no further than this product. It's always delicious and convenient.

All I tasted was Beets.
I hate leaving bad reviews. I REALLY wanted to like this. I am on the AIP diet and I react to night shades (tomatoes, peppers, etc..). I had very high hopes for this. All I tasted was beets. Nothing more.

Delish with tweaks
As a nightshade free person, this is a lifesaver. I added a pinch of salt and organic Apple Cider Vinegar and it tastes indistinguishable from standard ketchup.

Avoid this if you appreciate flavor
No no no....just no. The taste was atrocious, like dirty socks smell!

Great Substitute for Ketchup
I think this is a delicious substitute for ketchup that is nightshade free. I use it sparingly so a bottle lasts me a long time and so cost is not really an issue.

Arrived with cracked cap, spilled
I was excited to try this product, but it arrived with a cracked cap and beet ketchup all over the place. Had to throw it out due to food safety issues. I have no way to request a replacement or refund - money down the drain.
